The point you make about MS time to shine?
Have not MS already shone for the past 3 years already!
The PS3 has not, but due to better understanding of its architecture,is doing so now.
This X engine you speak of will only optimise and allow more effective usage of the memory structure and cores…it WILL NOT increase the memory, that is not possible via a software solution.
The 360 is pretty much on an even par graphically with the PS3.
The PS3 is superior only in its capability of raw theoretical performance within its CPU.
The 360’s main problem is storage based (DVD9).
Games are increasingly using streaming via the physical media (DVD9/Blue-Ray).
Texture techniques are becoming more advanced, and he limited capacity of the DVD9 format severely impacts the space required to stream from the disc.
Additionally the lack of an HDD as standard in all 360’s at retail limits developers substantially.

I made no point. Yeah, M$ shined while some MyBB members slated the PS3 from all directions, now that the PS3 shines I hope M$ can respond in kind.

This was a very interesting article on how the Xbox360 may try to get to the same level as the PS3 exclusives, If it makes you feel so bad then just move on.
Just as I thought your imagination are clearly lacking.
The WII are not even close to the level of performance than the Xbox or PS3, what is there to compare then except the monthly eBrainless sales.
