Logic Pro Help :: View topic - mp3 editing , saving wav to mp3,

Really annoying that the man with money decided to deprive the Mac-user from editing mp3 files and saving wav to mp3 in wave edit. Does anyone know any app for osx where i can edit audio-edit mp3 files, and convert wav to mp3? I know it can be done in Logic 8 by bouncing it, but that is not sufficient for large amount of files.
