ScreenCastsOnline Forum - Which Logitech Mouse?

I really want a new mouse to replace the "Mighty" Mouse. I've seen some tweets raving over Logitech.

But which one to go for: MX Air, MX Rev, VX Rev, VX Nano?

I have small hands so a Nano shouldn't be a problem for my hand.

Honestly I would never want to change my Mighty Mouse.

So maybe I should just shut up...

I've gone for the VX Rev Mike. Love it, but I'm thinking everyone will say the same about the mouse they use.. Not got big hands but this is so comfortable to use.

I've got an old MS mouse on it's last legs and I may get a new one.

I'm thinking the same as Mike, something other than the Mighty Mouse. Will have to keep a look out.

I gave up with the Mighty Mouse after having 3 in just over 6 months (scroll ball problem)   I replaced it with a Logitech MX 400 which I've now been using for over a year without any problem.

Wish I'd gone for the Logitech MX Revolution though

Okay well I have just made the swap, and have purchased the MX Revolution for use with the MBP (and maybe the future iMac) and a Nano for use with the MBA. I am impressed with both, but like the portability of the Nano when travelling (like now on the train).

The Revolution is great if you are working with applications that can be hard work with a trackpad or force your hands to lose all feeling when using the Mighty Mouse.

I have a logitech, i don't know the model.

Just the basic laser mouse with tilt scroll, their cheeper one.

The Rev mice look amazing, I kind of want one, but don't want to pay that kind of money for a mouse I like the Mighty Mouse too, but the trackball is its downfall.

It gets dirty and I just got sick of cleaning it.

Each time I did the problem came back faster then the time before.

I actually had a laser mouse with a trackball scroll years before the mighty mouse, not only did it never jam up, but you could also swap the controls to use the ball as the mouse and move your hand to scroll.

It was $15 at circuit city, I think I got it in '01

Thanks for the guidance so far.

I only have a small space in which to use a mouse - a trackball would be best (I use one of those for work) but my wife would never go for it.

VX Rev or MX Rev are the strong runners, although I have seen some forums complain about the scroll wheel failing on the MX Rev

I got the Logitech Cordless Optical Mouse for Notebooks over three years ago for my G4 iBook, and have been using it ever since , now with my MacBook Pro.

It fits a small hand well, and travels well, also.

It doesn't take a lot of space to maneuver, either, but you can adjust that in preferences.

Not sure what the current equivalent would be, but I like Logitech mice.

I don't think you'll be disappointed. Take care, Barry p.s.

Just got back from Staples.

I think the V220 is the current version of their notebook mouse.

MX Revolution and the Nano for me too. Great mice

Yeah and thanks to Don for the pointer to the Steermouse drivers http://plentycom.jp/en/steermouse/ which allows a lot more configuration options.

Do either or both the MX Rev and VX Rev have tilting scroll wheels that allow you to scroll left and right?

Been to the Logitech site.

Gone for the VX Nano as it seems to have all the features I want.

Thanks for the guidance, everyone.

Good choice Mabsey!

Decided to replace my second Mighty Mouse with the MX Revolution as Amazon has it cheap(ish) at £42 including shipping.
