It didn't take long for the stylists to get their hands on the X Factor finalists.
Ahead of this Saturday's live show, the 12 acts have shown off their pouts in a series of moody photographs.
Dressed all in black they have had their eyebrows plucked, hair primped and lashings of fake tan applied to give them that pop star glow.
But while they may be ready for their close ups, off-screen it is a different matter.
As ITV released their promotional shots of the competitors yesterday, Essex girl Stacey Solomon was mooching around the shops in her favourite outfit - a pink tracksuit.

The unflattering getup, which the 20-year-old teamed with a pair of rolled down Uggs and a stomach baring white jersey top, is Stacey's outfit of choice.
The single mum from Dagenham has been seen in her tracksuit frequently since joining the other finalists in the X Factor house.

The fresh-faced Welsh 18-year-old showed off her long legs in a short mini dress, giving a provocative pout to the camera.
It certainly made a change from Lucie's girl-next-door image.

The final contestant in the girls' group is Rachel Adedeji.
The 18-year-old London student has been given a modern new look with an Eighties-style hairdo reminiscent of the singer Rihanna.
In the groups category the stylists somehow managed to resist the temptation to shear off John and Edward's long blond hair.
Instead the17-year-old Grimes twins swapped their jeans and T-shirts for smart black suits and matching ties.
But despite the attention of the makeover experts, it's still impossible to tell the Dublin boys apart.

But which one is which?
Perhaps the most impressive group's makeover is that of Miss Frank.
The three singers were put together as a group by the judges after each failing to win a place in the final 50 at boot camp.
But while Shar Alexander, 25, Shanice Davis, 21, and Graziella Affinita, 25 are now firm friends, they have yet to establish a signature style.
So the co-ordinated dresses, poses and jewellery in their promotional picture makes a welcome change from the trio's mismatched look.

As former strippers the final band, Kandy Rain, already know the impact of a good outfit.

Khatereh Dovani, 24;
Chemmane Applewhaite, 27, and Victoria 'Coco' Lloyd, 22, always co-ordinate their look, and have been praised by the judges for their style and poise.
So the all-black outfits do little for the friends, making them look boring and unimaginative.

In Cheryl Cole's boys' category Rikki Loney has finally ditched his annoying flat cap.
But the 21-year-old Glaswegian has replaced it with an equally ugly bow tie.
Perhaps he is hoping to appeal to the Grandma vote.
Lloyd Daniels, at 16 the youngest of the finalists, looks better.
The Welsh teenager's simple black T-shirt remains true to his young age.
And Joseph McElderry has gone for a similar look.
The 18-year-old student from South Shields has chosen a long-sleeved shirt and jeans.

In the over-25's group - tipped by many to hold this year's winner - the contestants have remained true to their established styles.
Jamie 'Afro' Archer looks mean and moody as he glares at the camera - although his distinctive hair remains untouched.
The 34-year-old Putney barman is already a seasoned performer in pubs and clubs - something which comes across in his dramatic photograph.

Bookies' favourite Danyl Johnson, 27, wears a leather jacket in his photo.
The photogenic primary school teacher from Reading is sure to appeal to the ladies with his handsome stare.
And Olly Murs strikes an unusual pose - hiding his hands behind his body.
The 25-year-old, energy adviser from Witham, Essex, is said to be a favourite of mentor Simon Cowell.

Ive really enjoyed this series.
I like lots of the finalists i cant quite put my finger on it but i know it wont be any of the groups, especially those cocky talentless little shits from ireland who louie loves for all the wrong reasons.
It wont be a group i dont think, and im sure its gunna be one of the over 25s.
