Regular, Low Fat or No Fat? - Baltimore Sun talk forum
I use regular mayonnaise and salad dressings for the full flavor.
My portions of the mayo and dressings are small, so I don't sweat the extra fat and calories.
We buy 2% cheeses, low fat yogurts and skim milk because we prefer the taste.
Which do you and your family prefer?

Light and fat free stuff usually tastes nasty to me.
I hate the aftertaste of the stuff they put in there to take the place of the fat.
Regular mayo, cheese, sour cream and salad dressing for me.

Same here. Most lowfat (and pretty much all nonfat) stuff tastes horrible IMO.

Helman's light mayo...tastes pretty good...saves a jillion calories.
Light dressings...sometimes the no fat ones are loaded with sugar...just to make them taste good.

Bleh The Helmans FF with the green lid is excellent.
I don't really even like the regular stuff anymore - as long as it is helmans but will eat small amounts on sandwiches when I eat out because they generally don't have the light or FF stuff.
Cottage cheese is the regular 4%.
I don't like the FF or light stuff - doesn't taste like CC to me so I just limit how much or how often I eat CC.
Other cheeses are the same.
I don't eat much of them anymore so regular.
As far as milk is concerned, it depends on what I am using it for.
I rarely drink milk and I usually use soy milk on my cereal or oatmeal.
Generally I buy 2% but sometimes 1% or regular but NEVER SKIM.
Bleh. If a recipe calls for cream or half and half, I will ususally use regular and so forth.
Yogurt is the low fat/FF variety.
Mostly yoplait - 100 or less calories.
The other kinds just don't taste that great and I have reactions to too much splenda in products.
Sour cream is usually the real mccoy unless I buy one light and one reg and mix them.
Salad dressings can go either way.
I will indulge in regular from time to time if my favorites are available in FF or LF but I really like the FF Red Wine Vinegar but it is hard to find.

I weighed 105 for 10 minutes, 45 years ago.
I'd have to whittle my thigh bones to get down there again.

I think skim milk tastes like water!

I'll try some after my yucky skim is gone.

It's soy milk with vanilla flavor.
I presume it's healthy but don't hold me to it.

I like Giants brand - Natures Promise.
It is on the shelf as opposed to the dairy.
Silk is good but in the dairy, I believe you have to get a half gallon so if you don't like it, you waste it.
The Natures Promise comes in quarts and they have it several different flavors.
I like the Plain - sorta sweet for my cereal or even to drink and I like the chocolate flavor.
I do not care for the vanilla flavor, even to just drink it.
Also, it keeps for a long time.

I use regular mayonaise because the light or no fat tastes too sweet.
I don't use mayonaise that much though.
I do like fat free milk.

I agree with you about Hellman's Light.
I used to use Mrs.
Filbert's regular, but I much prefer HL now.
I like 1/3 less fat sour cream, cream cheese and creasant(sp?) rolls and skim milk.
Regular cheese unless it's for my veggie pizza and then sometimes I use lite.
There's so much other stuff on the pizza that the light cheese isn't bad.
I like skim milk over any other, but the kids like the mashed potatoes made with regular.
