MP3 Downloads not in MP3 Format - Rhapsody - RealNetworks Community Forum
I just bought a file that was advertised as an MP3.
When I downloaded it onto my computer it was not in MP3 format.
How do I convert it to MP3 in Rhapsody?
Why did it not download as advertised?

Hi, You cannot convert Rhapsody purchased music to MP3 format due to license restriction, if you purchased MP3 music in Rhapsody, it can be downloaded in MP3 format at initial download.
Please let me know what format it can be downloaded in your computer?

Matzl, double check that you don't have the mp3 file looking under your Music/Rhapsody/username folder.
What file was the one you purchased?
(If you simply "Download" the file and not purchase it, Rhapsody will download it either in rax format by default, or wma if you switched to wma).
If it was truly an mp3 file that you purchased, then something happened and you should contact their customer support.

Or burn to disc and then re rip as mp3

I have the same issue.
I purchased a song that is only available for purchase.
The link I clicked said "Buy MP3", however when i bought the 'mp3', the format that was downloaded was in .rax.

What was the name of the artist/album/track that came down in the wrong format?

Thet is becouse of you do not have rights to download it or it may be under copyright act

If the button said "Buy MP3", it should be in MP3 format.
Either you're looking at the wrong file or there is a problem in the download and you should talk w/ customer support.
The button says "Buy" for RAX files, if any are left.
