Weight Gain from Endometriosis? - Endometriosis: Support Group at WebMD
I dont know that I have experienced weight gain from Endometriosis, but I do know that I am having a hard time loosing weight because I cannot exercise regularly.
My endo flairs easily, so I can exercise for a week or so, then it flairs up and is painful, so I stop.
That's just my situation, so I don't know..

After my second lap i gained about 10lbs it was mainly due to being on birth control continuously plsu being in ridiculous pain for about a year and not bein able to exercise like normal...goin from basically eatin to lying down cos of soo much discomfort....
dont think it was the endo as much as it was the way it hampers ur day to day activites or the medication or other treatment u may be on

It's been a while since this was posted so I'm not sure you will get this.
I definitely have gained weight and I attribute it to the endometriosis.
My theory is that the endo cysts are creating more hormones than my body was designed for.
I crave sugar and horrible-for-me food for 5 to 6 weeks.
I get about one week where I eat healthy food I love and I can exercise and I can also say no to food.
The rest of the time I am in too much pain to stand up long enough to make a sandwich so I microwave something that probably isn't good for me.
I lost 90 pounds and a year ago at this time began putting the weight back on.
I have gained 40-45 pounds back after maintaining my weight loss for just over a year.

Hi. I've recently been diagnosed with endo and am scheduled for a lap next month.
All this while I'm trying to get pregnant too.
I have noticed a big weight gain.
But I've also noticed a big increase in appetite.
My Dr. says it has to do with the increased estrogen.
It makes us hungrier.
It sucks. I've always been so slender at 5'6" and now I'm pushing 150 lbs.
Yuck. I'm really sad about it because I just feel so out of control and I know I've not been as disciplined with diet and exercise as I should be.
But....ah! So hard.
It used to be that I could work out, do some serious cardio and notice my waste line get smaller.
Now, it feels as though I'll have to become so intensely extreme with my diet and exercise to see any improvements.
A total lifestyle change.
Yuck.
I wish there were supplements one could take to help with the increase in estrogen.

I too have a similar issue.
I am of small stature, and ever since my first lap...I have these horrible sweat tooth cravings...I mean I HAVE to have it..
I am not gaining weight, but have noticed that I am not firm anymore..exspecially in the pootch area..since my surgery it's looks like I'm pregnant..but Im not, I have endo in my stomach which causes huge distention...and there is nothing worse then people asking..oh how far along are you..when you are desperately trying to conceive...
I have found just simple stretching helps..even when I'm in pain..I just lay on the floor and stretch out and try different positions..sometimes it even helps alleviate the pain!
It's hard with the endo...due to our horomones and pain issues...just try your best to be healthy and live healthy..but I know where you're coming from with the cravings..they are almost instoppable..
