Your school is required by the Department of Education to block it - otherwise all your classroom computers would be gone - under orders from the US Government.

If your school uses Websense, you won't find anything that helps.
Websense is a system that blocks HTTP servers and P2P as well as community sites such as Myspace, Facebook, MyYearbook, etc.
There are no proxies and if someone claims there are, go ahead and try it, you'll get the "Websense has blocked this operation, type in administrator password to continue" Furthermore, websense and other blocking utilities that schools are using also have a Computer ID tracker, if you try to avoid websense or use a proxy server that websense is unaware of, it will note the HTTPS and the computer ID that it came from, you have an individual sign on ID and password for that school computer, and you will be caught and face punishment for misuse of school property
