wave raider. 700 new to pwc...pissing out hot water. - PWCToday
1 i have a 94 wave raider 700.
It pees out hot water from the side below the seat.
The hose connects to the large grey cylindar that has yamaha on it.
I dont know the name of it.
I am new to wave runners.
Is this normal or shpuld something be done about this.
2 question does anyone know where to get parts for pwc online oem.?
Where i can get purple bottom paint for them mine has a fiberglass patch that i want to cover up.
3 Is it necissary to have a after market beilge pump hooked up in the hull of the pwc.
I have one but is not hooked up....
4 I cannot find the flush hook up.
And cannot find the crank case oil dipstick and where to put oil in.
Any one know where they are located.
anyones help would be great
thanks sam-

Does the hot water piss out when you ride it?
This is probably the cooling water outlet and is normal.
There is a vacuum siphon bilge setup that will work while the craft is moving.
An aftermarket electric bilge is additional piece of mind.
It is up to you.
The flush hookup might have been blocked off if the ski was exclusively used in fresh water, this is uncommon though.
The flush hookup should be on the engine.
You won't find an oil dipstick for the engine, it is a 2 stroke engine that has oil injection or is premix.
Look for a seperate oil tank, if you find one then it is oil injection.
Use Yamalube 2-W 2 stroke injector oil.
If there isn't a tank then it is premix.
I don't know the ratio though.
Good luck

Look on the exhaust manifold for something that looks like this:
http://www.parkeryamaha.com/index.as...D&ProdID=17500
Yamaha started integrating the flush adapter in newer models.
It would be under the rear seat attached to the hull, but I think your year it would have been on the engine.
Here is a 1998 Waveventure 700 manual from Yamaha.
It may give you some insight into the inner workings of PWCs.
1998 is the oldest I can find and will give you general info.
Its not correct for your year and model, so dont use the specs in it for yours- although they are both 700cc engines...

Look on page 4-1 under cooling system flushing.
It appears that the factory setup was a screw that you had to remove and install the flush fitting to flush the system.
If you dont have the fitting that you have to screw in, then you will have to get an aftermarket flush kit.
Parkeryamaha should have one, or your local dealer.
If you are riding in freshwater then you shouldn't have to flush it.
If you want to run it on a garden hose in your driveway, then you will need a flush adapter.

Unless someone has already installed a flush kit, you won't find one on your ski.
I've got a 94 Raider that I've owned since it was brand new.
They didn't come with one from the factory.
You'll have to buy one similar to what was linked in the last post.
And yes, the hot water coming out of the left side, about right below the handle bars is the engine cooling water outlet.

I just looked at the link again at that flush kit hose.
It looks like thats only the hose and not the complete kit.
Do a little searching and see if you can find one.
I don't use a purchased flush kit.
I just unhook the water cooling line in the engine compartment and I've got my own fabricated flush hose assembly that I use to flush the engine and exhaust.
