To get noticed by search engines there is no point submitting to them they have crawlers so if you have decent link building you will be picked up much quicker than submission. 11.

The first thing which a blog needs is informative and quality contents both for the readers as well as the search engines.

And the backlinks from various sources gets you the search engine positions if you have a quality blog.

A little advertising for new blogs might help them to get a good start.
