Built in Xp Equivalent (down level) tools of Vista ones (different names with same function): A.

Windows Meeting Space ->

Net Meeting in Xp (also all Windows since 95, except Vista) or NetMeeting +Windows Messenger: OK, Meeting Space is a Vista huge update, but most people still use Xp NetMeeting: - To create shortcut and use Xp NetMeeting at first time: By default, no shortcut is automatically created for NetMeeting on XP -- to run NetMeeting ( and also configure the program shortcut), just go to Start Menu - >

Run -> type "conf.exe" (without Quote: s) ->

OK Again, as alternatives you can also use Microsoft Shared View or Office Live Meeting (See link above) B.

Windows Mail ->

Outlook Express in Xp (Windows Mail is only skinned OE) C.

Windows DVD Maker: Xp (and also Vista) actually has built in CD burning capability in Explorer to burn any data without using any 3rd party (licensed from http://www.sonic.com/ technology).

However most Xp MCE 2005 (OEM) has Sonic DVD and Record Now for Media Center and Movie Maker that actually better than Vista DVD Maker etc: - How to burn CD in Windows XP without any software: http://minerva.stkate.edu/ithelpguides.nsf/dir/BurningFilestoCDusingWindowsExplorerforWindowsXP - How to burn ISO image in Windows Xp and download ISO Recorder PowerToy: http://www.petri.co.il/how_to_write_iso_files_to_cd.htm - Download the Image Mastering API v2.0 (IMAPIv2.0) for Windows XP: Extend Vista 0nly support DVD to XP: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/932716 - One of best Vista IMAPI V2 Implementation for Xp: XP Vista Folder Burn: http://www.softpedia.com/get/CD-DVD-Tools/Data-CD-DVD-Burning/XP-Vista-Folder-Burn.shtml D.

Windows Firewall in Vista for Xp: Vista firewall is better than Xp SP2 one (Vista Firewall filters both incoming and outgoing network traffic.).

But in most circumstances it's still good enough, especially if you have P2P.

It's better if you have a good antivirus/security suite/3rd party firewall (see below).

You can also try/use Windows Live One Care http://onecare.live.com/standard/en-us/default.htm?mkt=en-usfrom Microsoft Windows Live although i personally think other 3rd party tools below (AVG, McAfee, Kaspersky, etc) are still much better... E.

Vista Tablet PC for Xp (Link above): Vista Tablet PC apps also available in Xp Tablet PC:Windows Journal, Inkball, Sticky Notes, Snipping Tool.

All of them (Vista Snipping Tool, Inkball etc) have been Updated and ported to all Xp versions (their links above).

Just visit may thread on WinMatrix here (Maybe they are not parts of Vista, but still fun n' cool for me): http://www.winmatrix.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=19910 F.

Some remaining apps/Tools (Notepad, Wordpad, Disk Clean Up etc) are actually same (not much different) with Xp in Vista.

But some of them have also been ported to Xp (Notepad, Paint, Calculator - with their "alternatives"/skinned apps.

See link above). - Enable Status Bar in Xp Notepad (Like Vista): Just simply download the vbs file to enable Status Bar in Xp Notepad: http://www.kellys-korner-xp.com/regs_edits/notepadstatusbar.vbs G.

Windows Update Vista (Offline) for Xp: Windows Update in vista is a huge update since it's offline application instead of IE browser.

To get it in Xp, just use New AutoPatcher Updater with same behavior/function (it works on both Xp and Vista): - AutoPatcher Updater: http://www.autopatcher.com/downloads/ H.

Vista AutoDefrag Feature: Not like Xp, Vista has autodefragmentor feature.

You can still get the feature manually in Xp as "down level" one though not as well as Vista without installing any software (you can still use better some 3rd party tools though): - Scheduled disk defragmentation in Windows Xp: Credits to Chris Rathjen, http://blogs.msdn.com/crathjen/archive/2006/04/14/576448.aspx I.

Vista Windows Fax and Scan for Xp: - Faxing in Windows Xp: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/setup/learnmore/crawford_02october21.mspx - Microsoft: Use Xp to scan and fax: http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/using/setup/hwandprograms/printfaxscan.mspx 9.

Windows Calendar for Xp (Best Offline Calendar Replacement from Microsoft): Download Microsoft Works Calendar 9 Stand Alone Installer (The Best Replacement for Windows Calendar in Xp so far from MS) ->

Long live Xp and Cya... Quote: This is absolutly the best job this way i have ever seen.

Thank you very much.

It is greaaat! Thx mate.

I hope this can be useful to us and other Xp users, or at least just for the info.

In my opinion, still say welcome to Windows Vista and Windows 7, but otherwise it's our "duty" to make our Xp better...It's already been our best friend for years... Btw, my other recommended links to visit: *) Since especially Windows 7 is just an enhanced version of Vista, you can use the first List of Vista Applications and Features for Xp above for most of new Vista (and also Windows 7) features on Xp.

After that, you can also visit and read my second thread/topic as well: "Windows 7 Applications, Tools, and Features on Xp (Simpler)" : (Very Recommended): http://www.winmatrix.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=21246 Updated: i have copied the content of above thread/topic ("Windows 7 Applications, Tools, and Features on Xp (Simpler)") completely to this post below.

Please read below and enjoy...

Btw you can still visit the same link to read the possible future update on there though... - About Vista Games on Xp: http://jonnyw1989.wordpress.com/2007/01/31/windows-vista-games-for-xp-update/ I have fixed some executables of the Vista games package to download below i.e without annoying ugly Oct 4 2005″ on the title bar of some of these Vista games anymore: - Added: (New ->

More Recommended versions of Vista Games for Xp to download) Download latest fixed version of Vista Games beta and RTM ported to Windows Xp: (Original Freecell, Mahjong/Shanghai, Solitaire, Spider Solitaire, Hearts, Purble Place, Mineweesper, Inkball etc + Texas Hold'em and Brutal Chess (Chess Titan alternative on Xp by far) + Window Journal Viewer as prerequisite for Inkball without WGA validation ->

Usually not required if you already have Office Suite/Onenote 2003/2007 though + Latest Alky for Vista Applications and Games on Xp/2003 :(Btw i have removed ugly Oct 4 2005″ on the title bar of some of these Vista games too!, "fixed" binary info from Oberon to MS etc) GUI etc: http://www.4shared.com/dir/14281223/d52c5ee5/All_Vista_Games_For_Xp.html To know that how to install/run original Vista Games RTM (Inkball and Hold'em), as well as Vista Snipping Tool, Sticky Notes which required Alky/VAIO with Vista Serial on Windows Xp etc: http://www.winmatrix.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=19718 Windows 7 games for Xp?

Lol so far the games in latest Windows 7 Beta is similar with Vista's (except the internet versions/MSN e.g Internet Backgammon, Checkers, Spades), not sure about the final version/RTM or higher.

Don't worry you can also play them on Xp desktop online/offline (please read the next list of Windows 7 applications, tools, and features for Xp below...) - Get Useful and Enhanced Windows 95-98 context menu file viewer: Microsoft QuickView ported to Xp!: http://www.winmatrix.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=19748 - Get Thumbnails of more file types on Xp Explorer (included thumbnails of text and document on Windows Explorer!/Vista Live Icon in Xp): http://www.winmatrix.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=19751 - Get original Vista Snipping Tool, Inkball, Sticky Notes, Texas Hold'Em etc ported to Xp: http://www.winmatrix.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=19718 - Get Vista Explorer File Viewer ( Vista Explorer Preview Pane ) "ported" to Xp: http://www.winmatrix.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=19634 * Since especially Media Center and Tablet PC are integrated nice features into Vista / Windows 7...: - Get Windows Vista/7 Media Center Skin and application on Xp: http://www.winmatrix.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=22552 - Get Tablet PC Input Panel on Xp like Vista and Windows 7: http://www.winmatrix.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=21199 Edit: Btw this is the additional second/next list (Change Xp like Windows 7), after you already have some/most Vista applications and features installed on Xp as listed in the first list above of course (Since Windows 7 is just an enhanced/updated version of Windows Vista, please believe me you will still have to get some similar Vista enhancements for Xp as listed above)...

Anyway Good luck! - You can also visit "Vista and Windows 7 Application and Features for Xp" (Wincert) : http://www.wincert.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=4594 Added New Applications and Features for Xp to Windows 7 Transformation (The Second List): 1).

Cheers! Lol sorry that's all as far i know, very/too short, just "copying n pasting" (the content and sources).

Need your inputs.

Thank U so much for your attention!

Cheers and Long Live Xp! 4).

It's just more like desktop gadget app rather than Tablet PC components (still with inking though), yeah simpler but still has some new features.

It's a very useful app if you wanted to write simple daily note etc on desktop.

You can still stick with older standard MS sticky notes with inking on Xp Tablet PC 2005 and Vista and the port version for Xp Pro, Home, MCE which you can download http://www.winmatrix.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=19718 (original Vista and Xp Tablet PC Sticky Notes ported to Xp etc) and/or you can also use better free alternative 3rd party app on Xp with the same name just like the one in Windows 7, download Sticky Notes for free here, only about 449 Kb (credits to Igor Vigdorchik): http://www.igorv.com/Content/Applications/StickyNotes.aspx (or the "hacked/customized" one with only Vista/7 Sticky Notes icon here: http://www.4shared.com/file/101086732/b09e8f90/Windows_7_like_Sticky_Notes_for_Xp_and_Vista.html ) again, it also works on Vista. Another option: Sticker Lite: http://sticky-notes.net/ If you used Windows sidebar in Vista/Xp (port), you already have Sticky Notes gadget by default, or maybe by using Vista Inkpad Gadget http://journals.tuxreports.com/lch/archives/004004.html (may need inking component i.e Microsoft.Ink.dll etc/Journal Viewer only on Xp Pro/Home/MCE). - Windows 7 with PC Virtualization Feature: Since MS would include PC virtualization in Windows 7 by default (i.e for running Xp/Vista/Other OSes in Windows 7, etc), you can also download Microsoft Virtual PC 2007 for Xp/Server 2003/Vista/2008: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=04D26402-3199-48A3-AFA2-2DC0B40A73B6&displaylang=en or better VMware Workstation : http://www.vmware.com/products/ws/ - RAIL QFE Beta Windows XP SP3: This package lets you to run many Windows XP productivity applications from a Windows 7-based PC using Windows Virtual PC (Thanks to Ricktendo for the info): http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=943b6ac7-87f2-45df-a516-21321d559ac3&displaylang=en Vista SP1 version: http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=DB29EB2B-F095-4172-8E83-9C5623045D4E&displaylang=en http://img150.imageshack.us/my.php?image=79817713jg0.jpg CONVERT XP HOME/PRO AND 2003 TO XP TABLET PC AND/OR MCE 2005 OR BOTH OF THEM OS TRANSFORMATIONS (XP/2003): GET XP MCE 2005 AND/OR TABLET PC 2005 COMPONENTS IN ONLY ONE OS Included: Transform Xp Tablet PC 2005 to MCE 2005 or vice versa and so on.... No components removed, but even adding more ones (i.e MCE to Tablet PC etc) This awesome project is usually called "Xp Ultimate Edition" (Xp Pro/Home + MCE 2005 + Tablet PC 2005, meant it will have features of all Xp editions) and also "Server 2003 Ultimate Edition" (Windows Server 2003 + MCE 2005 + Tablet PC 2005) ->

All done in same way...(as found in MSFN site and Rafael's about several years ago...). No hack/patch needed, your Windows will still always be genuine as before, all done by official MS tools/binaries and some command... You can still do only one (i.e only convert Xp Pro to Xp MCE 2005 OS) Additional MCE and Tablet PC Stuffs for Xp (OS Transformation) : It reminds me about MSFN/Rafael "Xp Ultimate" project several years ago ...although it's been "officially" removed on their sites, but you can still find and download some torrents of it though...).

However you can still create your own "Xp Ultimate yourself", more customizable by converting Xp Pro/Home to either or both Xp MCE 2005 and Xp Tablet PC 2005 (OSes).

Since they are supersets of Xp Pro with add ons (still based on same code base), hopefully there's no compatibility issue (exception maybe some OEM or unsigned drivers and settings though i.e Tablet PC 2005 basic driver is not compatible with my Toshiba Notebook OEM Battery driver, btw based on my own experience) and don't worry, there's no Xp Pro/Home feature removed. Here is the simple way without need to reinstall/reformat the OS (you may need some tools that can be downloaded/googled below).

Anyway Good luck :thumbsup_anim: : - Convert Xp Pro/Home/Tablet PC to Xp MCE 2005 without reinstalling the OS: If you really want to convert Xp to real Xp MCE 2005 OS without reinstalling/reformatting the OS (it will be recognized as original MCE 2005 by MS and updated!) Some files already included in the package (mediactr.cab, inf so on).

You can download my package below (1.)Install Microsoft .NET Framework 1.0 Install Microsoft .NET Framework 1.0.3705 and It's SP3. Copy "Copy2Gac.exe" to "C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v1.0.3705" (Optional) Install Microsoft .Net Framework 1.1 and its SP1. Install WMP 10 or 11 and Supported MCE DVD Decoder such as ones from NVIDIA, Sonic, or WinDVD. (2.)modify MCE registry Open regedit.exe, goto HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\WPA, create key named MediaCenter.

Create DWORD Value named Installed in key and valued 1. Installed value in MediaCenter of XP (VLK Ver) OS must be String Value but DWORD value.

And Installed value in MediaCenter key in all server 2003 OS must be string values.

Because there are no WinXP MCE VLK and Win 2003 MCE versions.

You cant login if these values are DWORD! If there is Installed valued 0 in MediaCenter in your Windows XP, you can not modify it in current OS. You must use load HIVE function in another OS (in another PC/partition) like this: Click HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE. From the File menu, choose Load Hive, Navigate to the registry location on your OS such as c:\windows\system32\config\system,name it temp. after you modified the value to 1,click temp,choose unload HIVE to save it. You can also use Bart PE bootable disc or my fave: ERD Commander 2005 CD (google them) (3.)install Media Center Get medctroc.inf, plusoc.inf, sonic.inf (all included) .copy them to C:\windows\inf\ ;

Then Run following commands to install Media Center Open Command Prompt (Run ->

Type "CMD" without Quote: s) or directly double click"MCE.cmd" to run the MCE commands (included). CODE Install Media Center (Need MEDIACTR.CAB): rundll32 setupapi.dll,InstallHinfSection Freestyle 128 medctroc.inf Install Windows Digital Media Enhancement (Need plus.cab): rundll32 setupapi.dll,InstallHinfSection PlusGold 128 plusoc.inf rundll32 setupapi.dll,InstallHinfSection PlusSpac 128 plusoc.inf rundll32 setupapi.dll,InstallHinfSection PlusDavn 128 plusoc.inf rundll32 setupapi.dll,InstallHinfSection PlusNatr 128 plusoc.inf rundll32 setupapi.dll,InstallHinfSection PlusMpix 128 plusoc.inf rundll32 setupapi.dll,InstallHinfSection PlusDancer 128 plusoc.inf rundll32 setupapi.dll,InstallHinfSection PlusParty 128 plusoc.inf rundll32 setupapi.dll,InstallHinfSection PlusAudio 128 plusoc.inf rundll32 setupapi.dll,InstallHinfSection PlusCDLM 128 plusoc.inf rundll32 setupapi.dll,InstallHinfSection PlusTheme 128 plusoc.inf Install Sonic DVD and CD Burning (Need sonic.cab): rundll32 setupapi.dll,InstallHinfSection SonicDVDandCDBurning 128 sonic.inf Note: After executing command, it will open new dialog window and ask you to navigate/browse to where you placed mediactr.cab, sonic.cab, and plus.cab.

Follow and do it. 4) update your MCE 2005 to UR2 (Update Rollup 2).

Download it from Microsoft Download Center for free (also with other higher MCE updates if available). NOTE: 1.Please open full Video and Audio acceleration in Windows Server 2003 Create a folder named "ehome" if it doesnt exist on Server 2003.

Copy "CUSTSAT.dll" to it. 2.this way also can be applied to Windows XP/2003 x64 Edition, Both Installed must be string values 3.if you have MCE remote control,MCE remote keyboard U can use Drives for XP in Windows Server 2003. 4.Can not install MCE upgrades in Windows Server 2003 because the OS is not WinXP,and there're some other problems by this cause. 5.Can not install Update Rollup 2 for MCE2005 when "Installed" is string value.so when you use XP VOL, you can expand "WindowsXPMediaCenter2005-KB900325-XXX.exe",and install upgrades listed in "paths.ini" manual. Thanks to neo.JoeJoe - Download Xp to Xp MCE 2005 OS transformation package (no need to reinstall the OS), guide included: also included mediactr.cab, plus.cab, sonic.cab and their .inf files etc after extracting it : Name : Convert_Xp_to_Xp_MCE_2005.zip Size : 165 Mb MD5 :92c24a535857516fc10ecdf513b86dea http://www.hr-host.com/wincert/Amirz/Convert_Xp_to_Xp_MCE_2005.zip After you have converted Xp to Xp MCE 2005, then please download and install: - Download Update Rollup 2 for MCE 2005 KB900325 : http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=e5daf37e-e243-4410-bc51-81cf2b56fe6e&displaylang=en - Download April 2006 Update Rollup KB914548 : http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=c446a8d8-639b-4e36-bd5c-577078529407&displaylang=en - Download Vista Skin for Xp MCE 2005: File Name: Vista Skin For Xp MCE 2005.zip MD5: 4c8233a128ed5220548852ccc92b1821 Size: 9,73 Mb http://www.hr-host.com/wincert/Amirz/Vista_Skin_For_Xp_MCE_2005.zip Updated MCE version + skin: - Download update Rollup October 2006 KB925766 : http://support.microsoft.com/kb/925766 and some other latest updates.

Useful i.e you have Tablet PC with Vista installed but still want to: dual boot it with Xp but you only have original Xp Pro.

Just convert it to Xp Tablet PC for free. 1) Install: -Microsoft .NET Framework 1.0 -Install Microsoft .NET Framework 1.0.3705 and It's SP3. -Copy "Copy2Gac.exe" to "C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v1.0.3705" -Install Microsoft .Net Framework 1.1 and its SP1. 2) Navigate : HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\WPA and create a key named TabletPC now add a string value named "Installed" and set as 1 Or directly double click "TabletPC.reg" to merge it into registry->Optional though to finally convert the OS to Xp Tablet PC 2005 as you can see the System Properties changed. But finally the system will still be Tablet PC 2005 OS after some MS updates and boots though. Install Tablet PC 2005 U can replace above commands for MCE or add both MCE+TPC with these commands Get tabletpc.inf (included) .copy to C:\windows\inf\ ;

Then Run following commands to install Tablet PC components: Open Command Prompt (Run ->

Type "CMD" without Quote: s) or directly double click"TABLETPC.cmd" to run the Tablet PC commands (included). CODE rundll32 setupapi.dll,InstallHinfSection TPG 128 tabletpc.inf rundll32 setupapi.dll,InstallHinfSection System 128 tabletpc.inf rundll32 setupapi.dll,InstallHinfSection OOBE 128 tabletpc.inf rundll32 setupapi.dll,InstallHinfSection Notebook 128 tabletpc.inf rundll32 setupapi.dll,InstallHinfSection StickyNotes 128 tabletpc.inf rundll32 setupapi.dll,InstallHinfSection AllShortcuts 128 tabletpc.inf rundll32 setupapi.dll,InstallHinfSection SRInstall 128 tabletpc.inf rundll32 setupapi.dll,InstallHinfSection AllReg 128 tabletpc.inf C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v1.0.3705\Copy2Gac.exe /i /a /p:"C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Ink\1.7\" Note: After executing command, it will open new dialog window and ask you to navigate/browse to where you placed TabletPC.cab.

Follow and do it. To make Tablet PC Input Panel etc working/updated, just download and reinstall SP2/SP3 on Xp.

Done. Thanks to neo.JoeJoe - Download Xp to Xp Tablet PC 2005 OS transformation package (no need to reinstall the OS), guide included: also included tabletpc.cab, tabletpc.inf files etc after extracting it : Name : Convert_Xp_to_Xp_Tablet_PC_2005.zip Size : 71 Mb MD5 :24fa6c9fb208ba60c81eb8f30fff6f43 http://www.hr-host.com/wincert/Amirz/Convert_Xp_to_Xp_Tablet_PC_2005.zip After that, please download and/or reinstall SP2 or SP3 for Xp (SP3 is recommended since it's the last one) (i.e to fix/update Tablet PC Input Panel version etc) or using Windows Update. Updated: If you can't download from the links above, then you can download them (both, Media Center and Tablet PC packages) on my thread Wincert http://www.wincert.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=5602 (please read Post #1 and #7) seems that bcoz of "hotlink protection" by Wincert so you can only download them there (don't worry, you're not required to register or login on Wincert, but again just visit my thread there on Wincert).

Thanks to my friend Ricktendo64 for the info. - Added/Updated for Xp to MCE 2005 Transformation Above (Thanks to Kyosan, WinMatrix): Here are the steps by tmksnyder on The Green Button : Quote: 1) Get a hold of 'Bart's Preinstalled Environment (BartPE) bootable live windows CD/DVD'(http://www.nu2.nu/pebuilder/) This is a tool that can take your windows CD and make a bootable windows CD for doing system maintenance.

Follow the instructions from the tool.

It will create an ISO image that can be burned. 2) Boot from your BART PE disk 3) Run Regedt32.exe (choose run from the start/go menu etc) 4) Load the system hive (\windows\system32\config\system) See http://www.microsoft.com/resources/documentation/windows/xp/all/proddocs/en-us/regedit_load_hive.mspx for instructions on loading and unloading hives.

Use test as your keyname for the hive. 5) Modify the following registry entries in the loaded system hive. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\WPA\MediaCenter "Installed"=dword: 1 HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\Setup "SystemPrefix"=hex:ce,13,00,00,00,00,3e,c8 6) Unload the system hive 7) Reboot 8) Check your system properties.

It should say 'Media Center Edition'.

This means the registry change worked. 9) Proceed with a repair install using your MCE 2005 CD's. The installer will think it is repairing an MCE 2005 system and will install all the files need for MCE.

Good instructions on repair installs are at http://www.michaelstevenstech.com/XPrepairinstall.htm . 10) Run Media Center via Start Menu->Accessories->Media Center->Media Center Special Added Here: VERY WORTH PLUG INS FOR WINDOWS XP FAX AND PICTURE VIEWER: (Thanks to http://www.raymond.cc/blog/archives/2008/12/22/extend-200-image-support-for-windows-picture-and-fax-viewer-in-windows-xp/): Windows Picture and Fax Viewer is an image viewer that is a part of the Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 operating systems.

It is based on GDI+ and is capable of viewing images format supported by GDI+: JPEG, BMP, PNG, GIF (including animated GIFs), ICO, WMF, EMF and TIFF format files.

It can still be improved to have more for 200+ image support such as *.msp, *.gem, *.cals and *.dpx.

Many etc by Installing imageXtender (very recommended): Download it here: http://www.imagextender.com/ SPECIAL VISTA PACK FOR XP TABLET PC 2005 APPLICATIONS: This special pack is to change some Xp Tablet PC 2005 Applications (Tablet PC Input Panel/TIP, Journal, Inkball, Sticky Notes) look like the ones in Vista Ultimate/Premium/Enterprise (or even maybe on Windows 7) "little" xD.

Working on original Windows Xp Tablet PC 2005 and the "converted versions" of it (e.g Xp Pro/Home which have been "converted" yet to Tablet PC 2005 OS) all.

Btw you can also get "vistaized" Inkball game and Sticky Notes working fine "portably" on Xp Pro/Non tablet PC only by installing Windows Journal Viewer and .Net framework 1.1.

If you don't have Xp Tablet PC 2005 OS but still want some of its components on Xp Pro/Home by default (just like Windows Vista/Seven) Google it or you can read my threads (Wincert and WinMatrix) about how to easily convert Xp Pro/Home/MCE to Tablet PC 2005 or have some components of it etc: http://www.wincert.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=5023 and you can also do the same with MCE 2005 on Xp Pro/Home/Tablet PC (Windows Media Center): http://www.wincert.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=5602 Yeah, the versions of above Tablet PC applications in Vista only have little different GUIs, especially icon (and toolbar on Journal).

So you can change/replace them for having the same icons with Vista's ones.

This pack even will add some additional components which are some Vista-like Tablet PC control panel applets (Vista Tablet PC and Pen applets) on Xp control panel, yeah just really like Vista xD (as well as my Tablet PC Input Panel Installer for Xp Pro, Home, MCE etc on Wincert and WinMatrix forums).

Completely with guide (included) for more info...: - Download Vista Pack for Xp Tablet PC 2005 Applications: Name: Vista Pack for Xp Tablet PC Applications.zip Size: only 2,38 Mb MD5 check: 1ee15a35a8397b36ded9ba6c0a420f0e http://www.4shared.com/file/100354314/1eb895db/Vista_Pack_for_Xp_Tablet_PC_Applications.html - Please also visit my 4shared page to download more free Vista / 7 to Xp stuffs etc: http://www.4shared.com/dir/6883450/cb252562/sharing.html Again good luck and again Long Live Xp!

Cya (may need vacation now xD) ->

Still continue... Recommendation: Again, if you only want to get working MCE and/or Tablet PC applications on your Xp Pro/Home/MCE (for tablet apps)/Tablet PC (for MCE app)/Server 2003 especially for "Windows customization and standard usability purposes" e.g make it like Vista etc, then it might be enough to install them using my instant Windows Media Center and Tablet PC installers etc.

But if you really want to build a real Media Center PC or install it on real Tablet PC with all equipments, then it might be better (recommended) to get original Xp MCE 2005 or Tablet PC 2005 (legal or...lol) or at least you can also convert your current Xp/2003 OSes to Xp MCE 2005 and/or Tablet PC 2005 (or even both) using above ways as recommended.

Especially since they might have been intentionally designed and optimized for the purpose by MS (e.g some settings, basic drivers, etc).

Please consider about the advantages and disadvantages, pros and cons, before doing the job.

You can still use the same skin/GUI on them using e.g My Vista Skin for Xp MCE 2005 or Vista Pack for Xp Tablet PC 2005 applications to make the apps like the ones in Vista / Windows 7, get them here or from my other related threads.

Anyway good luck and long live Xp. Please Note: Since some app files might have been "patched" or "compressed" (packed) to work properly on another Xp OS editions etc and it might be a necessary effort for that beside the installing code itself, then some "false alarm" or "false positive" may happen to some clean exe installers/apps /installation process (rare) although they are actually clean and safe.

Usually some great and famous antiviruses (such as Kaspersky, AVG, Norman, McAfee, etc) won't have the such problem so far bcoz they will work better.

If that happens, then you can simply ignore it and continue installing as it's guaranteed actually 100% safe and clean by me.

But again, it's still 100% your own choice and right to decide. Wait a second, Xp is being old?

We're all just talking an operating system, and XP is a great and very stable operating system, and its main purpose is just for running applications, not being themselves and XP does that just fine by far.

And we can always use it as long as it really does...(even i have often seen some people who are still using Windows 98, nowadays)...Microsoft, OEM partners, and 3rd party software developers will still support Xp for years (MS security/critical/bug updates until 2014) and all/most 3rd party apps and drivers, hardwares are still compatible with Xp nowadays as well as some years forward, still more than Vista and Windows 7 Beta when i wrote this, fact, so don't worry.

Anyway long live Xp!

Fantastic list!

Really great list

I have nothing to say...only...

I am so stunned.. Great list man!

Holy . That list is huge bro, thanks for the add it is very very useful.

How to fix it?? Thank you Quote: 7.

Vista Media Center (MCE) for Xp: Windows Media Center Installer (MCE 2005) for Xp Pro/Home SP2/SP3 and 2003: (Credits to Orbit30, very good job) included prerequisites frameworks and Update Rollup 2.

If you only have Xp Pro/Home/2003 but still want Windows Media Center application that only previously available for Xp Media Center Edition 2005, instead of installing Xp MCE 2005 OS, just get it installed by using MCE installer from here.

You will get original MCE in your Xp Pro/Home!

(and you can also easily make it look like Vista MCE GUI later!) : http://skitechnology.pointclark.net/downlo...E_Installer.rar Important Note for MCE: - You need to unzip rar file by using WinRAR or 7-Zip etc - Make sure you have created this registry entries manually before installing!

(VERY IMPORTANT!!) Open regedit.exe, goto HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\WPA, create a key named MediaCenter, then Create DWORD Value named Installed with value 1 (Otherwise It must be a string value not DWORD value in XP Vol Corporate) ->

All without Quote: s! CODE Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00 [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\WPA\MediaCenter] "Installed"="1" - Due to strict hardware requirement, Make sure your hardware and also driver (especially for video card) support required (at least minimal) level of standard Media Center/multimedia applications: - 1.6 GHz processor - DirectX 9.0 hardware-accelerated GPU - 256 MB RAM Anyhow I think most people's computer already have the required specs, even higher today.

Please also see about MCE in Wikipedia

Wow, great job AMIRZ!

You are the best!

Thx alot PeterRollar, crestind, CommonSense, _akier_, Freka, kyosan, Secured Tim all my friends here.

I hope they can be really useful to all of us.

Again, thx alot for all your nice comments here.

I wish you luck! God bless us, WinMatrix, Xp, Vista, and Windows 7 and all people To Kyosan, what version of your Xp mate?

Or 2003? It determines what type of the sub key (i.e.

String for Xp Corporate edition, Dword for Xp OEM, all always have same value=1).

You have to make sure it's corrected (edit: using Bart PE Bootable CD or load hive to write the registry) Since the mediacenter key with all its contents will be locked, and you wont be able to restore them back (I'm very sorry if it was not clear before.

I have added this additional information to the main thread ). Edit: I have already created Windows Media Center installer for Xp Pro and Home http://www.winmatrix.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=22552 (Installer, Uninstallable) ->

Recommended too For more/further information You can read the guide about installing Windows MCE in Xp Pro/Home Pro the best and easiest guide for installing MCE in Xp Pro also Tablet PC).

There are more sources about it.

I hope your problem can be solved soon bro.

Good luck kyosan! (Edit: Sorry Hamed pack won't directly install MCE (unless you have CD2 MCE2005) but only MC like theme (VS) and other goodies) Edit: Again i have already created Windows Media Center installer for Xp Pro and Home http://www.winmatrix.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=22552 (Installer, Uninstallable) ->

Recommended too lol twice And dont forget to make sure your computer (hardwares) meets minimal requirements for Xp MCE (Read the thread) PS: I'll also PM you about this bro cya

Thanks, AMIRZ . My OS: xp sp3.

I found out for this problem, use winPE and BartPE.

Next problem, I don't know how to use them Topic on msfn.org make me crazy

OMG. I'm speechless.

Thats tremendous job mate.

Awesome. I was waiting for the end of first post.

I think this thread shud be pinned ....

UPDATED: Hello everybody.

But I have to tell here: Since one post has limited word/paragraphs/links etc in WinMatrix (inc the main thread, for example 700 words in one post etc/one post is enough for limited several words) as you can read "(SORRY NO MORE SPACE AVAILABLE)" above.

It seems i have to repost for new items in same thread here if new ones have been available.

(Even i have to edit previous items/links before).

Sorry and thx for your understanding. Again i also hope if you already found more Apps/features/tweaks etc that can make Xp look and behave like Vista (in both GUI and feature/function), don't hesitate to post here, as i would be happy to add them to the continued list as they can be useful to more people, and i will also give full credits to you.

Thx alot for your real gift and contribution , it's not only for WinMatrix but all people especially Xp users around the world who may take advantage of it for Xp or even other OSes and things (as they can read through Google, then share with their friends etc).

Again thank you so much and may God Bless You all always!

Cheers! PS: Sorry for my bad English...

UPDATE 1 FOR THE LIST: As i said since one post is enough for only several hundreds words in WinMatrix so i have to create a new post in this thread for adding new updates.

Here is one: INSTALLING MCE IN XP PRO/HOME WITH DUAL BOOTING VISTA-XP Thx alot to jdd from Wincert and also Kyosan from WinMatrix for this useful information/way.

If you have problem Editing the registry key installed on mediacenter its value is 0 i'm trying to change it to 1 to use mediacenter on xp pro but it says error : cannot edit installed: error writing the value's new contents. Solution: YOU cant simple edit the Installed key cuz its using on your xp and its WPA if your dual booting XP and vista boot on your vista and then open an notepad paste this command CODE cls @echo Loading the standard windows Registry reg load HKLM\Sys c:\windows\system32\config\system @echo Making Changes to the Registry reg add HKLM\Sys\WPA\MediaCenter reg add HKLM\sys\WPA\MediaCenter /v Installed /t REG_SZ /d 1 @echo @echo Done. pause reboot and then save it as code.cmd IF your xp is in D drive change the C to D. Added: - If you have had the problem of MCE2005 where you get the above error (or something like it;

I don't remember the exact message" and are not able to play DVDs or Videos, here is how you fix it. 1.

Make sure you have the .Net Framework 1.1 SDK http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=9B3A2CA6-3647-4070-9F41-A333C6B9181D&displaylang=en.

They can all be download from The Microsoft Download Center 2.

Copy ehshell.exe (in the %windir%\ehome) directory to a tempory location. 3.

In C:\Program Files\Microsoft.NET\SDK\(either v1.1 or v2.0)\bin folder (or wherever you installed the SDK), open ildasm.exe. 4.

Click File>Open and open ehshell.exe in your temporary directory. 5.

Click File>Dump.

Check only Dump IL code and Expand try/catch.

Click OK. Once that process is finished, close ildasm.exe. 6.

Open Notepad. Browse to your the temp directory that ehshell is, and you should see two new files, ehshell.il and ehshell.res.

Open ehshell.il. This may take a while, depending on the power of your computer. 7.

Search for the string get_UsableVideoMemory in the file.

Just below that, you should see the value 0x2 .

Change that to 0x1 .

Save the file and close notepad. 8.

Go to your temp directory, and delete the copy of ehshell.exe that you have. 9.

Using the Open Command Window Here powertoy, open Command Prompt to your tempory directory.

Type "C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\(v1.1.4322 or v2.0.40607)" \ilasm /resource:ehshell.res /exe ehshell.il and press enter.

If this process fails, download a new version of ehshell.res Here, and replace the old version with this version. 10.

Start Safe Mode 11.

Backup your old ehshell.exe in the ehome directory to a different folder. 12.

Copy and paste the new ehshell.exe from your temp directory to the ehome directory, replacing the old version (MAKE SURE YOUR OLD VERSION IS BACKED UP!!!!!). 13.

Boot the computer again normally. 14.

Start Command Prompt at the ehome directory. 15.

"C:\Program Files\Microsoft .NET\FrameworkSDK\(v1.1 or v2.0)\bin\sn -Vr ehshell.exe Now You Should have a completely working version of Windows Media Center 2005 in Xp! (full credits to WBHoenig - MSFN, thx alot ) - If you want to link, copy, share, spread, recreate this thread/list etc for any purpose, please always feel free to do it without need to get any permission from me / WinMatrix, since it can be useful to more people especially XP users.

Thx alot mate for your real contribution to spread it! - If you know more, better, or anything (info/tools/apps/tutorial etc) about all from Vista to Xp, please dont hesitate to post here on WinMatrix (i also have same thread on http://www.wincert.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=4594), since that can be useful to more people and i can update the thread by it.

Again, thx alot for your information and/or work here, it would be so kind of you .

Cheers! That's all.

Thx for your attention.

Good luck and enjoy!

Again, Long live Xp!

When you set "Installed"=1 and restarting, your windows may show "The product key is invalid...".

So, you can not log on to windows. Here are the steps by tmksnyder on The Green Button : Quote: 1) Get a hold of 'Bart's Preinstalled Environment (BartPE) bootable live windows CD/DVD'(http://www.nu2.nu/pebuilder/) This is a tool that can take your windows CD and make a bootable windows CD for doing system maintenance.

10) Run Media Center via Start Menu->Accessories->Media Center->Media Center

EDIT: Hello Kyosan lol sorry as i have ever tried before it seems each post is still limited only for several hundreds words by WinMatrix/Admin, so i cant still include your updates/correction for awhile, but only a new link from Tosbas (Locate32).

As you can read my previous post about MCE update above.

But i will rewrite and rearrange the thread about MCE by your inputs soon, sometime.

Thx Kyosan FYI please keep posting here if something new available.

Again Thx alot guys

No problem, AMIRZ Big topic

Thx again Bro (lol the list should be longer, but as i said since each post has been limited only for several hundreds/thousand words in WinMatrix, and my thread has also been "overloaded" ).

Too bad i can't add anything now unless i've rearranged it before (Please Admin?

) But still be grateful...

Hello everybody, a new item added here: Vista File Rename for Xp : Phlox 1.2 Phlox provides Windows Vista style file renaming to your Windows XP.

It replaces classic F2 function on desktop and explorer windows.

Again, Thx alot everybody! Long Live Xp!

Sorry everybody first i have to say, i beg your pardon, not mean to bump this thread but since i have recently updated it by adding some more informations and links that based on some new Windows 7 apps and features that can be applied on Xp (even some on Vista) as well (original Microsoft tools) , thx to our friend Blake Handler.

Yeah i hope they can be useful for us at least just for your information, anyways....

. For "integrity and continuity" reasons, please read the entire topic/my first post again (already included).

That's all, thank you for your understanding and attention.

Cheers!

@ AMIRZ : is there anyway of completely removing the splash screen that pops up on the standalone microsoft works 9 calendar that was posted? if so could this be incorperated into the portable version also? would just like to know. if anyone else knows please post also, thanks in advance.

I'll look forward for that (it came with the original code as the way it is ).

Anyhow If it could be removed i'll post here or PM you, and yes if so it can be incorporated into the portable version.

Thanx 4 the input mate Edit (little): Also to everybody yes again you can use both Works Calendar and Windows Live Mail app (that included live calendar) on Xp as good replacements for Windows Mail and integrated Windows Calendar on Vista.

(Live Mail=still online based calendar but on a desktop app, while Works Calendar is the 100% offline based calendar).

It would be better if you also have Outlook 2007 though. - Download MS Works Calendar 9 free stand alone installer : http://www.4shared.com/file/64127170/112eb6d/Microsoft_Works_90_Calendar_Stand_Alone_Installer.html or as a portable application : http://www.4shared.com/file/64296871/303cc4ae/Microsoft_Works_90_Stand_Alone_Calendar___Portable__.html - Download Windows Live Mail Calendar: http://download.live.com/ or as offline installers on my thread http://www.winmatrix.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=19984 (Windows Live 2008 + 2009 offline installers / final version).

Thanx 4 the input mate i was thinking that if it was maybe just a .bmp or .png maybe it could be replaced with a blank one or something.

Actually yes it should be included in file resources.

I think that we could remove it using resource hacker or any other binary res editor but just remember there are some files of some apps thar can't be (edit:) easily edited (unpacked/decompiled) since they might intentionally have some protection to prevent them tampered as they can special "hide" the real routine and resource depending on the method how to compile/compress the resource into files (i.e exe/dll packer) and the used code.

So you'd better use another advanced tool and hacking effort for that special case (or hey its even maybe much better to know the original source code of them lol , only for changing the GUI components alittle...)

Would be cool to change the brown to blue or something also.

I have PM you please check it out.

Vini, vidi... beside I'm disappointed about some things(but I've got pretty used to them) - that I will focus on weekend, after my 2 last exams: good idea, a lot of work, however formatting would be nicely seen and overall good work

Cool words that are impressive to say, as so deep Thanx Bro for the cool comment, input and sharing Anyways happy customization and i love all of your great works too

Additional MCE and Tablet PC Stuffs for Xp (OS Transformation) : It reminds me about MSFN/Rafael "Xp Ultimate" project several years ago ...although it's been "officially" removed on their sites, but you can still find and download some torrents of it though...).

You cant login if these values are DWORD! If there is Installed valued 0 in MediaCenter in your Windows XP, you can not modify it in current OS. You must use load HIVE function in another OS (in another PC/partition) like this: Click HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE. From the File menu, choose Load Hive, Navigate to the registry location on your OS such as c:\windows\system32\config\system,name it temp. after you modified the value to 1,click temp,choose unload HIVE to save it. You can also use Bart PE bootable disc or my fave: ERD Commander 2005 CD (google them) (3.)install Media Center Get medctroc.inf, plusoc.inf, sonic.inf (all included) .copy them to C:\windows\inf\ ;

Then Run following commands to install Media Center Open Command Prompt (Run ->

Type "CMD" without Quote: s) or directly double click"MCE.cmd" to run the MCE commands (included). CODE Install Media Center (Need MEDIACTR.CAB): rundll32 setupapi.dll,InstallHinfSection Freestyle 128 medctroc.inf Install Windows Digital Media Enhancement (Need plus.cab): rundll32 setupapi.dll,InstallHinfSection PlusGold 128 plusoc.inf rundll32 setupapi.dll,InstallHinfSection PlusSpac 128 plusoc.inf rundll32 setupapi.dll,InstallHinfSection PlusDavn 128 plusoc.inf rundll32 setupapi.dll,InstallHinfSection PlusNatr 128 plusoc.inf rundll32 setupapi.dll,InstallHinfSection PlusMpix 128 plusoc.inf rundll32 setupapi.dll,InstallHinfSection PlusDancer 128 plusoc.inf rundll32 setupapi.dll,InstallHinfSection PlusParty 128 plusoc.inf rundll32 setupapi.dll,InstallHinfSection PlusAudio 128 plusoc.inf rundll32 setupapi.dll,InstallHinfSection PlusCDLM 128 plusoc.inf rundll32 setupapi.dll,InstallHinfSection PlusTheme 128 plusoc.inf Install Sonic DVD and CD Burning (Need sonic.cab): rundll32 setupapi.dll,InstallHinfSection SonicDVDandCDBurning 128 sonic.inf Note: After executing command, it will open new dialog window and ask you to navigate/browse to where you placed mediactr.cab, sonic.cab, and plus.cab.

Follow and do it. 4) update your MCE 2005 to UR2 (Update Rollup 2).

Download it from Microsoft Download Center for free (also with other higher MCE updates if available). NOTE: 1.Please open full Video and Audio acceleration in Windows Server 2003 Create a folder named "ehome" if it doesnt exist on Server 2003.

Copy "CUSTSAT.dll" to it. 2.this way also can be applied to Windows XP/2003 x64 Edition, Both Installed must be string values 3.if you have MCE remote control,MCE remote keyboard U can use Drives for XP in Windows Server 2003. 4.Can not install MCE upgrades in Windows Server 2003 because the OS is not WinXP,and there're some other problems by this cause. 5.Can not install Update Rollup 2 for MCE2005 when "Installed" is string value.so when you use XP VOL, you can expand "WindowsXPMediaCenter2005-KB900325-XXX.exe",and install upgrades listed in "paths.ini" manual. Thanks to neo.JoeJoe - Download Xp to Xp MCE 2005 OS transformation package (no need to reinstall the OS), guide included: also included mediactr.cab, plus.cab, sonic.cab and their .inf files etc after extracting it : Name : Convert_Xp_to_Xp_MCE_2005.zip Size : 165 Mb MD5 :92c24a535857516fc10ecdf513b86dea http://www.hr-host.com/wincert/Amirz/Convert_Xp_to_Xp_MCE_2005.zip After you have converted Xp to Xp MCE 2005, then please download and install: - Download Update Rollup 2 for MCE 2005 KB900325 : http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=e5daf37e-e243-4410-bc51-81cf2b56fe6e&displaylang=en - Download April 2006 Update Rollup KB914548 : http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=c446a8d8-639b-4e36-bd5c-577078529407&displaylang=en - Download Vista Skin for Xp MCE 2005: File Name: Vista Skin For Xp MCE 2005.zip MD5: 4c8233a128ed5220548852ccc92b1821 Size: 9,73 Mb http://www.hr-host.com/wincert/Amirz/Vista_Skin_For_Xp_MCE_2005.zip Updated MCE version + skin: - Download update Rollup October 2006 KB925766 : http://support.microsoft.com/kb/925766 and some other latest updates.

Note: Again They are not included in SP3 for Xp, you have to download and install them all manually. - Download Vista Skin For Xp MCE 2005 (Build 5.1.2715.3011): File Name: Vista Skin For Xp MCE 2005 (Build 5.1.2715.3011).zip Size: 9,73 Mb MD 5: c70dd446bd4eed909378abe450a61f0b http://www.hr-host.com/wincert/Amirz/Vista_Skin_For_Xp_MCE_2005_(Build_5.1.2715.3011).zip - Convert Xp Pro/Home/MCE 2005 to Xp Tablet PC 2005 OS without reinstalling the OS: If you really want to convert Xp to real Xp Tablet PC 2005 OS without reinstalling/reformatting the OS (it will be recognized as original MCE 2005 by MS and updated!). Useful i.e you have Tablet PC with Vista installed but still want to: dual boot it with Xp but you only have original Xp Pro.

Just convert it to Xp Tablet PC for free. 1) Install: -Microsoft .NET Framework 1.0 -Install Microsoft .NET Framework 1.0.3705 and It's SP3. -Copy "Copy2Gac.exe" to "C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v1.0.3705" -Install Microsoft .Net Framework 1.1 and its SP1. 2) Navigate : HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\WPA and create a key named TabletPC now add a string value named "Installed" and set as 1 Or directly double click "TabletPC.reg" to merge it into registry->Optional though to finally convert the OS to Xp Tablet PC 2005 as you can see the System Properties changed. But finally the system will still be Tablet PC 2005 OS after some MS updates and boots though. Install Tablet PC 2005 U can replace above commands for MCE or add both MCE+TPC with these commands Get tabletpc.inf (included) .copy to C:\windows\inf\ ;

Then Run following commands to install Tablet PC components: Open Command Prompt (Run ->

Type "CMD" without Quote: s) or directly double click"TABLETPC.cmd" to run the Tablet PC commands (included). CODE rundll32 setupapi.dll,InstallHinfSection TPG 128 tabletpc.inf rundll32 setupapi.dll,InstallHinfSection System 128 tabletpc.inf rundll32 setupapi.dll,InstallHinfSection OOBE 128 tabletpc.inf rundll32 setupapi.dll,InstallHinfSection Notebook 128 tabletpc.inf rundll32 setupapi.dll,InstallHinfSection StickyNotes 128 tabletpc.inf rundll32 setupapi.dll,InstallHinfSection AllShortcuts 128 tabletpc.inf rundll32 setupapi.dll,InstallHinfSection SRInstall 128 tabletpc.inf rundll32 setupapi.dll,InstallHinfSection AllReg 128 tabletpc.inf C:\WINDOWS\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v1.0.3705\Copy2Gac.exe /i /a /p:"C:\Program Files\Common Files\Microsoft Shared\Ink\1.7\" Note: After executing command, it will open new dialog window and ask you to navigate/browse to where you placed TabletPC.cab.

Follow and do it. To make Tablet PC Input Panel etc working/updated, just download and reinstall SP2/SP3 on Xp.

Done. Thanks to neo.JoeJoe - Download Xp to Xp Tablet PC 2005 OS transformation package (no need to reinstall the OS), guide included: also included tabletpc.cab, tabletpc.inf files etc after extracting it : Name : Convert_Xp_to_Xp_Tablet_PC_2005.zip Size : 71 Mb MD5 :24fa6c9fb208ba60c81eb8f30fff6f43 http://www.hr-host.com/wincert/Amirz/Convert_Xp_to_Xp_Tablet_PC_2005.zip After that, please download and/or reinstall SP2 or SP3 for Xp (SP3 is recommended since it's the last one) (i.e to fix/update Tablet PC Input Panel version etc) or using Windows Update. Lol so far the games in latest Windows 7 Beta is similar with Vista's (except the internet versions/MSN e.g Internet Backgammon, Checkers, Spades), not sure about the final version/RTM or higher.

Dont worry you can also play them on Xp desktop online/offline by going to MSN online games: ->

Requires min Xp SP2/3 and IE 6 SP1/IE 7/IE 8: - Internet BackGammon: http://zone.msn.com/en/backgammon/zpadefault.htm - Internet Checkers: http://zone.msn.com/en/checkers/zpadefault.htm - Internet Spades: http://zone.msn.com/en/spades/zpadefault.htm Download the free offline versions (Bicycle Games demos - Microsoft Games Studios) of them: - Download Offline Backgammon & Checkers: http://www.microsoft.com/games/bicycle/board/ - Download Offline Spades: http://www.microsoft.com/games/bicycle/card/ SPECIAL VISTA PACK FOR XP TABLET PC 2005 APPLICATIONS: This special pack is to change some Xp Tablet PC 2005 Applications (Tablet PC Input Panel/TIP, Journal, Inkball, Sticky Notes) look like the ones in Vista Ultimate/Premium/Enterprise (or even maybe on Windows 7) "little" xD.
