SKIN! Not your skin, the forums skin. - Anime Forum dot Com
So for those who remember and those who don't (probably never knew too) I made a lot of the forum skins...
And I'm making more.
So far (in the past three days) I've added:
Hallow's Eve
Minty Fresh
By the Sea
Old School
Forums of Steel
Jealousy
Rotten Grapes and
Sneaky Autumn
These were skins added by suggestion of the Forum staff and a few people in chat whom were there while I was making skins.
Now is your chance.
Suggest colors for themes...
And I'll make them up!
Now I can't make a lot all the time, but I try to add a few each day.
If you have a specific color or set of colors you'd like give me either an image using them or a hex code.
Let's make it colorful!

I've always wanted one with white background, black text, sans-serif text and no other formatting, or possibly a "forums of steel" where the grays are a lot brighter (except for the black parts.)

I would recommend simply a black text with a magenta background.
I've tested this with my computer & it looks great.
I am however in love with forums of steel.

And I agree with him, it must be done for great justice.
And to basically repeat what I said in the staff fourm version of this thread: All of the skins are inferior to MP2K Blue, but Hollow's Eve is less inferior then most.

I love the new skins they are awesome^_^
But what would make a great addition to the forum, is a skin called summer, give it a summer kind of look with colors associated with summer.
Since that summer is on it's way i just thought it will be great for the members :3

In my personal opinion, they really are a bit too simple, but they're not bad.
I can understand why images aren't used so much around this forum in order to prevent lag upon those who don't have high speed internet am I correct?
LadyPSerenity, you did a great job matching colors.
If you need any help though with skinning, I'll be more than glad to help.
Since I have a bit of experience myself.
With Invision Power Board though of course.
Also if you are thinking about making a skin based on gradients and dynamic images...
There is a special team around the forums who are pretty exceptional in that area.
I'm sure you know who they are...
BUT, that's just a suggestion.
(Of course that was a joke, hope some got that immediately...)
I have no problem with the default though.
It's actually something I prefer.

To clarify,
The skins are colors only.
I don't do images because one I can't upload images and two my time for doing gradients and other 'formatting' isn't there.
We don't mess with the formatting because well we can break things when we do that.
Namely I can.
I use to skin Invision Power Boards, all the time.
Then I skinned invision free...
Basically the same I'm aware...
And I am capable of skinning these forums.
We're looking at color changes, so as to appeal to what you might like as colors on your forums.
Images aren't changed nor are they really added to.
If you're looking for this, sorry, it's not happening.
Not by me.
Unless Mina-mom or Acey ask for it or direct me to do so.
Anyway so far I've read a summer skin and a Magenta/black (which I think will burn my eyeballs out...) and I think I saw another light black and white simple type one.

The new skins look great.
My favorites are By the Sea and Minty Fresh.
Minty Fresh being my current skin.
A spring skin would be nice to see, using pastels/softer colors.

Might I suggest a skin with parchment background and other creamish colors, and the font to be something awesome and curly.
I'd suggest a font but I'm honestly too lazy.

I'd also like suggest "Eris' old coot theme" with large fonts (16 pt) and stark contrasts between the elements that are relevant.
On a relevant side-note, I really need glasses.
The internet is so blurry nowadays.
It ain't how it used to be.
Oh well, I'll go back to my rocking chair now.
I've got kids to keep off the lawn.

You know it's funny as I make these skins, there's ones that I make that I personally can't stand but they're the color combinations people ask for.
The newest one is Spring Bored.
It's bright it's spring colored and it's personally hard on my eyes but alas it's there!
On to the next one.

Added Toasted Paper too which is a ...
Older paper looking one.
I'll probably try and do that one again but with a different name.
Meh. That's it for now I have to do chores as in grocery shopping and cleaning the apartment.

Ok, Im deleting posts that are just 'I like them!' posts.
Keep your posts to suggestions or questions on the skins only.
This makes it easier to keep track of what the suggestions are.
Also, may I request something a big contemporary?
I attached a palette that I like a lot, but feel free to change any of the colors to what would work best ^w^

First of all, i'm no skin maker..but here are my thoughts on them some skins much too bright, some too dark..and it's hard to read what is written..and it's hard on the eyes.
why don't you make some that are easy to read and not too bright?
although there are also a few..
just suggesting..
and the above palette, it's beautiful!very peaceful..

Sorry for my late response.
You have to really keep in mind that when these skins are made there are certain features that can not be adjusted.
Moderator / admin name colors are one of them and they go best on dark backgrounds so certain parts will be 'too bright' if I use a light color background.
I'm sorry there hasn't been a skin that appeases you and hope in the future there is one.

I don't know if we are still doing this.
But I like the I'm Blue skin or skins format, but I would like something that is a bit darker.
Maybe I'm Black and have a black background and format just like the blue one, except black background and white text.
With the black background, people could post in colors and I could see the colors.
Not a lot of colors go with blue, especially red that is always a pain to read.
Thanks for taking this into consideration and I wasn't trying to picky or anything.

Can you please make one called "Baka Pink"???
I would like it to be a pink background, turquoise borders, and white font.
I attached a pic to give you an idea of what I mean.
Oh and "Comic Sans" for the font.
But feel free to make it different then how I suggested if the arrangement of colors won't work well.

I love toasted paper.
I think it's replaced the teal one I'd been using forever.
I love the minty fresh one too, but the background/background color seems funky to me.

In terms of the pink one, there is a Pink one which is really similar to that, in fact the only real difference is the teal...
So I think I want to make something a little more diverse than that, but I'll keep it as a suggestion.
The black skin I'll look into and thank you for the comments everyone.
