Personal Statement - Applying for Geology - The Student Room

Personal Statement - Applying for Geology   Hey Guys, i'm currently studying Chemistry, Biology, Economics and Chemistry at AS Level and will be applying to University to read Geology in September.

Im predicted and hoping to get 3 A's and a C. So wondering if you can help me by providing me with some of the following inforamtion: - What are the best universities that i can apply to with these grades? - Examples of some thing that i can include in my personal statement? - Also any ideas of Extra activites that i can do which will look good on a Geology UCAS personal statement? Thanks alot Will

Re: Personal Statement - Applying for Geology   Imperial is undersubscribed this year for geology/geophysics MSci and has places on UCAS extra.

Maybe this reflects a generally low interest in this subject in the UK implying good chances for those willing and able.

ICL stated minimum offer for Geo is AAB or IB 36.

I think they like to see evidence of outdoor/active lifestyle with leadership roles in assessing personal statements for geology applicants.

Imperial seems to want to diversify beyond the stereotypical geeks so they are emphasizing well rounded candidates on their website.

Re: Personal Statement - Applying for Geology   Thanks alot, very helpful Will
