Well, we joined the nudist colony.
I tried putting him in underwear for a couple of hours and the whole "don't pee on wall-e or thomas" and it didn't work.
I'm not sure he gets it...as in, pee goes in the potty.
This is where I wish he was one of the rule abiding ASD kiddos.
;)
Anyway, I've spent the entire afternoon with him naked (taking a quick break) ever since Norah went down for a nap.
He's peed twice on the little potty...totally different from the original behavioral plan I started out on (though once an hour was NOT enough), so I'm hoping if I do this all weekend, he'll start to catch on.
Heaven help me.
Doesn't that sound like a fun weekend?

Oh boy, I remember those days all too well.
I hope he starts to get the idea soon and a weekend of nudist potty training boot camp will help.

((hugs)) I remember those days with Ash and Jacob!
They didn't get the 'don't pee in dora/cars/ princesses etc" either.
Naked and keeping a potty close at all times helped.

Yep, I bought cheap potties at IKEA.
Love that place. LOL
So far, we've made it into the potty three times...but it is me watching his cues and sticking him on.
We'll see. I think a weekend of this and he'll figure it out.

And when we think he might have it..
He doesn't. LOL
It's a long bumpy road ahead..
But in the end it will be all worth it!
8 years of diapers is more then enough!!

Well...no.
We stopped because he started having sleep issues since he has to get on the bus at 7 am.
He slept better all summer since he could sleep in if he woke in the middle of the night.
We are now seeing a naturopathic doctor about his sleep and will resume after we get some things settled down.
I am also touring the ABA place this Wednesday.
I hope to resume in the next month or so!
Oh...we did make lots of progress in the fact that he now isn't afraid of the potty and will sit on it willingly.
Just no peeing!

emily was and is a nudist!
It's the only way i could get her to potty train!
Now she is day time potty trained, if she is in clothes she has to take them all off to go potty.
And now most days, she refuses to wear clothes.
It's all i can do to get her dressed when we need to go out;other then to play in the dirt- which she will readily put on 'approved" clothes to do so lol

When I do the naked thing he pees on the carpet.
What should I do?
Rub his nose in it?
