GTAForums.com -> Copyright laws error.
Hello.After i installed Grand Theft Auto IV ,i enter the game and the copyright laws screen pops up after its done with the legal stuff it gives me an error sometimes with "The instrunction at memory could not be written" and sometimes like this:
Please help.

First i applied patch 1.0.3.0 but it gives me error WS10 and then i applied patch 1.0.2.0.So its patch 1.0.2.0.

Did you buy or download the game?
Anyway I'm assuming you've just installed it but uninstall it and reinstall it again following these steps:
Uninstall it through control panel.
Delete:
C:\Program Files\Rockstar Games\Grand Theft Auto IV
Reboot
Reinstall The Game
Reboot
I know it may not work but it's worth a try.

You shouldn't patch form 1.0.3.0 back to 1.0.2.0 because the files from both versions will get mixed up.
I'm not saying that this is the cause of your problem, only as a side note.
Also, when it gives you the WS10 error, it usually means the game found some modified files, more specifically bad cracks.
Have you applied any of those?

Well then don't apply them and buy the game or run it properly.
This thread cannot continue as GTANet does not support cracks/warez.
