Legalize Pot? For those who do not smoke if it were legal would you? - V6Power Messageboard

For those who do not currently smoke the bomb, the bud, the buddha if it were legalized would you smoke? I do not like the stuff and I would not smoke it even if was legal.

It is a lot different than alcohol.

Never smoked it and probably wouldn't anyway.

But I'd sure as hell welcome legalizing and taxing it IF it removes some of my tax burden and the tax revenue actually goes to something useful.

Yes. As long as it wouldn't get me fired from work.

I have never tried it and I would have still have no interest even if it were legal.

I live in Denver...

Been there, done it, don't miss it, wouldn't go back if it was legal.

DITTO. Quote: : Been there, done it, don't miss it, wouldn't go back if it was legal.

Ditto.

Hmmm, does pot make you as big of a jack @$$ as a drunk, or just happy like everyone says it does?

It affects everyone differently, from a brain interaction perspective...

However, it also affects everyone the same if you do it and get caught. fines, blah blah blah, lose your job, look like an idiot... basically anyone who is responsible doesn't belong anywhere near the stuff. If you plan on living with your parents till you turn 60 and never get a real job, it's right up your alley.

Except here. Under 1oz possession = $100 fine.

That's Denver city though, and if they get picky, is obviously easily trumped by county/state/federal laws.

Med has been available here since 2000.

I guess pot affects everyone differently.

It makes some people unsure of themselves / paranoid.

About 9% of people who use it get addicted to the point where they are using it multiple times a day and there is no way they can stop (it controls their life).

You can compare this to 31% of those who try tobacco get addicted, 23% heroin, 23% cocaine, 15% alcohol. Some people really like it and they are high so much that you can't even tell.

Don't smoke it, never have tried it, never would smoke it.

Now eating it thats another story, i just dont like smoke.

I used to smoke because it allowed me to think a little differently, then I figured out how it worked, and never smoked again.

I never smoked it.

Wanted to at one point but decided not to.

Nope.

They could have done some drilling off the Santa Barbra coast but they voted that down .

It makes me think to much about dumb crap and gives me panic attacks...If it were legal I'm sure that I would use some though...just for shits and giggles.

Hmm well now this thread is right up my alley.

I used to be a heavy user.

Dont touch it now but used to. Ok first of all contrary to what most people think pot is not addictive.

Apparently when smoked there is more tar than cigs.

However there are other was to "use" pot, such as a vaporizer, which there is basically no smoke, and u just get the thc.

So none of the bad crap goes in your lungs. I am all for the legalizing of pot!

It should be controlled and taxed liked anything else.

Then there also should be driving offenses for it and so on. Alot of what you have been told in say the D.A.R.E programs and high school i believe is mostly bs just to scare you to stay away from it. There is a comedian that actually did a "study" about the affects of pot.

He quit smoking for 30 days, did a bunch of tests.

Like sperm count, sat, memory and physical tests.

Then after those 30 days were up he stayed high for 30 days.

Did the same tests and actually scored higher on the sat, did better on the memory test and yes his sperm count was actually high too.

Lol Now once being a heavy user i can honestly say that i kinda believe some of the results.

I really dont think that pot affects the brain like everyone says it does.

The only thing i think it really affects is judgement!!

And yes is you use everyday for a long period of time it does make you a lil more goofier than most

Because it still isn't regulated and taxed in Cali the same as tobacco and alchohol.

Not every user can legally buy it.

When it is taxed the same as tobacco and alchohol and can be legally bought in the same manner as tobacco and alchohol then you will likely see a measurable difference in tax revenues from it.

Lol Super High Me.

Great docu.

Smoking is great.

I don't do it because I need my record to be superclean.

If it were legal, I'd smoke maybe 5-10 times a year at parties.

It should be legal.

Great docu. yup thats it!

Couldnt remember the name of it! Yes pot should be legal, its a natural plant unlike alot of the other drugs that are a combination of different chemicals. Either that or just make cigarettes illegal YA there's an idea

There's more f^cking sh!t in cigarettes that will kill you than Pot, people grow Pot, it's a plant that noone tampers with (most of the time).

I just want to see the day when I can walk into the local grocery store and see "Kroger's Brand Pot" sitting on a shelf.

Totally Bad ass.
