Baby makeing sex is diferent then normal sex. Dr.'s orders... - American Pregnancy Association

So I saw a thread on what is the Best position to get you pg.

And it sparked up a thread that I have been meaning to write about what my Dr.

Told me. He said baby making sex is (and should be) different the regular sex.

Missionary is the best position (unless you have that tilted uterus).

And he said after the guy "releases" he should stop moving immediately.

Give a couple of seconds and pull out.

Explaining that the male usually orgasms before the female.

And not to try to finish her off because that will just push all the semen out.

I was laughing when he said this.

He probably got the wrong idea.

I usually reach that point way before DH.

He also said to not get up right away to clean up.

Wait about 20-30 minutes or just go to sleep if you are in bed for the night and clean up latter.

Also to tilt back and prop your hips up with a pillow to support you. Just thought you all should know.

Most of it I did know already.

But it is very sound advice.

Interesting. What's the recommendation for those of us with a tilted uterus?

And am I the only person who usually has the big O before he does?

You're not alone.

My DH isn't allowed to have his until I have mine.

I have not heard anything other than doggy style for those with a tilted uterus.

I can't imagine staying in that position for 30 minutes so that the spermies have a better chance of getting to their destination, though.

I keep seeing a picture of a woman running around like a dog...

Doggie style or laying on your belly DH on top.

Hmmmm, I've been pregnant four times.

I conceived twice with DH on top (both times had boys) and twice with me on top (both of THOSE times had girls).

That's what my RE told me also..He said not to stress to much and that baby making is only 2 days out of the month and the rest is LOVE MAKING..lol..but true and good advice..

I tried it this way for the 4 days of O and I pray that I will get a BFP come Friday.

I cannot get PG with missionary.

I can only get PG with me on top as my cervix is tilted and hides.

I had 3 boys that way.

I'm pretty sure we made DD with me on top.

But I might also have atilted uterus....Heck I think you should just give them all a try in durning that time!

Yeah I think everyone is different, missionary is most effective 'usually' but there are plenty of women who can get pregnant no matter what position they are in!

(lucky dogs j/k) but as far as the orgasam thing goes, I don't really buy that.

I mean if the sperm is already in there, the contractions of orgasam will help suck them up into the cervix so they don't have as far to travel.

I guess if he deposits really close to the opening it might push them out, but otherwise I think they will stay put.

I read something that said as soon as the man ejaculates, the sperm coagulates around the cervix and even jumping up and down wont dislodge them.

The stuff that leaks out afterwards is just the seminal fluid that carries the sperm in.

It made sense what he said to me.

I think it takes time for them to separate from the seminal fluid and coagulate around/swim up into the cervix.

That is why we have to wait 20-30 minutes before getting up and washing.

If the guy ejaculates while still in motion it gets pushed all around.

At least that happened before when DH and I were not trying.

TMI but he would always try to give me multiples.And boy was that messy.

Alot of stuff came out.

And this was not just the watery like seminal fluid.

It was the thick white stuff.

For people that are having trouble ttc I think every little tip helps. How is your pregnancy doing?

I have never heard which position is best for a tilted uterus, but am so glad to know now!

I have one and only certain positions work for me as it is, because others can be painful.

This is going to be way to much TMI, but it's good to know that doggy works because that is my preferred position! I usually O before my husband - can't help myself!!!

I ALWAYS lay down afterwards and throw my legs up in the air - my hubby laughs his butt off.

I can't help it though...

Figure it helps to keep as much in there as possible!!!
