Mobile Phone help - exotiXboard

I am looking to get a new phone at the moment, I really like the new Apple iPhone but it won't be released here until sometime in 2008.

So I was looking at the Motorola E6.

Now my question is, how do you text message on this phone?

Is it a keypad on the screen?

And would you need to use the little stick or could you use your finger? This phone is hard to find any info about. http://www.motorola.com/motoinfo/pro...alObjectId=175

Think of a palm pilot or PDA with mobile phone capabilities

Yer I know, it has a lot of PDA functions, but do you need to use the stick?

I'd assume for some functions yes but you could probably get by without it and I'm sure the stylus fits into the phone somewhere so it's not like you carry it seperately.

Text messaging would likely be able to be done using Palm's Graffiti or whatever it's called(a certain style of writing thats computer recognizable) or by a touch screen number pad.

Most likely both would be an option. Why don't you go to a store that carries it to try it out?

Because that's logical..

Our dear friend scott here isn't too bright, he's not very good at thinking for himself

And in Australia there is no stores with working phones, they all have just a display model.

Yeah in Belgium too but if you ASK if you can test the phone they don't really make a problem of it, they put in a SIM-card from the store and boot it up so you can test it around a bit.
