It's the biggest pile of rubbish known to man.
It's only just let me sign back in!
I'm getting very annoyed now, this has been going on far too long and methinks Watchdog would like to know all about this farce!

Just a question for you out there with connection problems, I'm also plagued with ao'ell and craphone warehouse, When i go online throug aol i'm always guaranteed at least 1 disconnection, But when i go through firefox i very rarely have any problems, And it's a lot quicker too.
Anyone tried that ?

Yup i got the usual probs too!
Just rang BT to get my line checked (covering bases), they said it's fine, but I wasn't the only aol caller tonight!
Anyone migrating, please report back with a report 'good or bad'.
As I seriously have to get away from this crap isp.
PS anyone got an up-to-date phone number for aol, 08703202020 don't seem to be working.
I'll even take the freephone 'new customer' number.
Thanks

They are working on (as usual).
Tonight isn't DNS, apparently its part of moving the subscriber base onto their regional servers along with general migration of localised user connections to the CPQ network.
Again, as usual, things haven't gone to plan.
So far I've had 20 minutes of access since 5pm.
AOL (or CPW) don't expect to have completely resolved till tomorrow though things should start improving from around 10pm for most users.

For how long? too right - spent three 15 minute phone calls trying to get through to them...i am absolutely furious with this downtime.
imagine if ppl had to send off coursework/important deadlines to keep too...they would be f**ked.
i had a massive rant at the aol operator about their worsening service and she credited me with one months free rental - still not good enough.
Am gonna phone the cancellations department tomorow and try to get out off this crappy contract as they are failing to keep their end of the terms and conditions

For f**k sake, this is a joke once again.
AOL is up and down more times than a prostitutes knickers these days.
Have the idiots who work in the AOL support departments not learned from the problems and customer backlash of last week?.
What a bunch of incompetent idiots.

AOL Back here at 1.20am been mostly offline since about 6pm came back about 20-30 minutes in total in all that time.
I have a solid 8192/448k connection to the tleco exchange and have a netgear router that has never let me down, why dont aoluk even let us know what they are doing i used to work for an ISP cix internet a few years back that would atleast tell you what is going on, on aol support page i notice thay have the nerve to say system status NO ISSUES AGAIN like 2 wkends back.
My Previous ISP Plus.net would atleast give honest system status rather then a static constant NO ISSUES message what a joke

I cancelled AOL this evening.
The Indian lady, who I had trouble understanding, asked if I wanted to pay £9.99 per month for their 8mb service, as I have been an AOL customer since 1999.
I declined and said that I wouldn't stay with AOL if it was free.
Felt a bit guilty after that.
