Remember The Lead Singer of The Commitments? Here's Andrew Strong Now. Poor Guy. And I Had High Hopes for Him. : entertainment
Not to sound like a smartass, but I liked the movie The Commitments a good bit, and especially Andrew Strong.
But then I researched and found his website completely sucks (most music band websites suck, but his is pretty bad).
His wikipedia entry says he's been touring with the Stones and what not, which is cool, and he can still belt out those songs from the The Commitments just as good as the old days, but his own original stuff needs a lot of work, and his look is pretty frightful.
Heck, he looked better in the movie than he looks now.
So, Bob Dylan, Mick Jagger, John Legend -- whatever -- someone with some classic soul -- please give this guy some decent lyrics and a decent record producer to put this man back on track.
He deserves it.

Upmodded for referencing a great movie.
As a side note, did you know that Jimmy's sister is Andrea Corr of the Corrs?
Turns out the entire band is in the movie - they tried out to be the movie band and didn't make the cut, but the casting director gave them all bit parts.
And then he went on to produce them as a major act outside of the movie.
So it's a good question who came out better there.

I think Andrew is probably making a decent buck, but then he has bills to pay to keep rolling, so it's anyone's guess how down and out this guy is.
I'm rooting for him.
I mean, listen to this recent effort .
It's pretty decent.
He just needs some help with some modern lyrics and good influences, and a great record producer.
