Obama to continue Bush era policies on indefinite detention of terror suspects at Gitmo. : politics
He's continuing everything, he's expanding everything that's wrong.

I seem to recall you cheerleading for Bush and predicting doom for Obama.
So, isn't this a reason for you to cheer Obama?

I don't think a review of my record will qualify me as a Bush cheerleader.
I did, however, predict that once Obama got into office his view of national security would be reset closer to Bush's due to the additional information he was bound to be exposed to once he was president.
I actually don't agree with this policy at all.
I didn't when Bush used it and I don't now.
At the same time, I don't think prisoners of war have the same rights as an American citizen.
There needs to be a balance that prevents extended unwarranted detention but still doesn't turn dangerous terrorists back out on the streets.

Funny how so few people will admit to cheering for Bush when he was pursuing these policies.
That he did them doesn't make these policies better, it's just curious to see how many people are coming out claiming they never supported Bush.

I don't know. But you can see everything I posted right here, and I don't think you will see a whole lot of support, much less cheering for Bush.
Besides, I am not the topic of this post...Obama's policies are.

Thank you. As my previous post conveyed (and apparently wasn't well received), I am merely pointing out that this is a continued Bush policy that Obama had campaigned against.
It is actually an attack on the policy itself (which I disagree with), but apparently anyone who criticizes the current administration on Reddit is automatically a "Bush cheerleader".

Don't be so defensive;
"Reddit" is not the one poster who made that remark.
It's fine to post your opinion in the comments, but in the title makes it inavoidable for me to parse your opinion from the article.
I would upvote an article on this subject with a neutral title (because I'm on your side of the fence), but I would downvote an article with an editorialized title far before that.
I just want a neutral representation, is all.

Agreed, and (I thought) remedied.
