Fox News Kills Monsanto Milk Story - In case you missed it : politics

I believe (but I'm not sure) that this is from The Corporation, which is a great film.

BGH is banned in Canada, EU, Australia, New Zealand, and Japan.

Thanks. I was wondering what documentary I'd seen this in and I think you are right.

Thanks. The Corporation Segment starts at the 1:46 mark.

Enjoy!

Found Outfoxed:Rupert Murdoch's War on journalism from the same user.

One of the best documentaries I've ever seen.

Thanks for pointing us to that - I took the liberty of submitting it , although it's probably old news to some of us.

The book is amazing as well.

Had to read it in a Social and Political Philosophy class and it might have been one of the more eye-opening experiences of my college career since it was basically saying "Look what is going on right in front of you!"

Wait. Wasn't this against a Fox television affiliate's news show, and not Fox News Channel?

They're different, you know. Can't stand the choice of soundtrack music.

The content is enough to make its point.

No need to punctuate it with overly-dramatic, ominous music.

The original suit was against a Florida affiliate, but the Fox News Corporation picked up the ball once the affiliate lost and won on appeal.

Their winning argument?

"We're not a news corporation.

We're a news entertainment corporation.

We should therefore be exempt from being held accountable for modifying the news so we think it'll be more entertaining.

Therefore, Fox never had a legal requirement to report the truth in a news story. Since no laws were broken, the fired reporters are not protected by whistle-blower laws.

No need to punctuate it with overly-dramatic, ominous music. THIS.

It's not just over-dramatic, it's goddamn annoying.

I get it, you want to make the thing seem ominous, but I don't need to hear that horrible mooing sound every three seconds.

In case you missed it THREE YEARS AGO.

Did it happen to be this book ?

Because thats where I remember reading it.

It's still just as relevant, and it wouldn't be getting this many upvotes if it wasn't news to some people...

Between fox and monsanto, the firing squad's gonna need more blindfolds.

The big cheese over there thinks it could sour any relationships they have.
