Do we have a right to truth from news media in the USA? : politics

Turns out we don't.

That's right, a judge ruled (some years ago now) that there was nothing compelling Fox to tell the truth in reporting the news.

I wonder how he'd feel if they weren't telling the truth in their accounting department?

The 'right' we have is through our purchasing power.

If we don't like the job they are doing we stop reading/watching/listening.

This is where we need to get more united - on what we watch or spend money on.

This is the way to make these fools jump to our bidding and do what's right.

Evidently not. Let's face it, corporations and the gov't have a symbiotic relationship with both out to manage and to manipulate the public.

It's not supposed to be that way, but that's the reality.

What is truth?
