Ok i want to change my hair, something drastic
My hair is black , wavy, frizzy , thick ( very thick ) and Long ( Shoulder long ) and its been mistreated by lots of different products and the ends are up by it and humidity in my area, ive been ignoring it by just wearing bandanas and beanies and pony tails.
I feel like im married to head clothing ¬¬
i want to get a short emo look or just really punk rock....
Time for the Questions!
1) Does Dying your hair damage your hair?
2) Does Ironing it two times or three a week damage your hair?
3) If i get an emo look how can i prefent it to get frizzy and wavy?
4) How can i control frizz and dry Hair?
5) Does Razor cutting your hair damage it?
How about in Thick hair?
6) Can you have cool emo looking hair having thick hair?

"Lord Excelsior XXIX" Just shave it.
No.
Really.
Actually, when you said it was long at shoulder length, I was thinking "wtf?" until I saw you were a boy!
:3
Technically literally everything you do damages your hair.
EVERYTHING. COMBING IT technically damages it.
But.
It's a matter of management.
1) Always.
However, doing so once or twice a year is NOT a big deal.
I'm going in for the third time since August in a month or two.
It's the people that do it once a week that fry their hair.
There's no coming back from that except waiting for it to grow out.
2)I use a straightener on my hair at least once a day..
Almost always. This does minimal damage because I have a spiffy iron.
3)Hair products and ironing.
I have anti-frizz that I put in my hair every other week overnight.
If yours is really bad, then get a shower conditioner to use every shower.
If that gets too oily, then try to use the conditioner away from the scalp.
Wavy- fix with iron.
4) Again, hair products.
Mine is minimally frizzy, but I still like to do my overnight because it makes my hair VERY sleek and shiny.
:3 When you go in to get your hair done (and I do recommend getting your hair done professionally)...
You could talk to your stylist about what may be the best regimen for your hair type.
5) Uh....
No? o_O I have my hair newly razored for a choppy look in my bangs and hair framing my face...
And there's no noticeable difference between razored hair and scissored hair in my cut.
If your stylist isn't using a sharp razor-- maybe??
If they do that, though, cut them.
They deserve it. (I'm kidding about the actual cutting.
Don't cut them. They do deserve it, though.)
6) Edit: I read this question wrong, sorry.
I actually think these cuts look funny with totally thin hair.
So. Thick is fine.

1) Yes. You're processing the hair with chemicals.(As long as it's not a weekly thing, you're fine)
2) Yes.
You're frying your hair (even though it's a small amount).
Just use a product that's made for protecting the hair.
3) Hair serums are available for controlling frizz.
As for the wave? It's all genetic.
You'll need to flat iron your hair or get it chemically straightened if you want it to remain straight.
4) To control frizz and dry hair, make sure your hair is maoisturized.
That's what frizz is: dry hair.
5) Razor cutting damages hair like crazy (even in thick hair).
All a razor does is slices into the hair at angles, destroying the end of the shaft.
6) It's hard, but I suppose you can.
Those hair styles work best on thinner hair.
You can thin your hair out and get it, but it'll cost you more for the cut.

Try a new shampoo and condisioner for your hair. One that prevents friziness and makes your hair moist when you touch it.Use no hairspray or jel. Also,if you have short hair you should blow dry it,long hair should be towl dried until most of the water is gone and then you let it air dry.
Use a comb for the ends of your hair and use a soft brush for the rest.(I know this sounds silly but if you put lotion on your hands and rub them just until there is barely any left, rub it through your hair for a silky and easy to handle sensation.
If you want highlights then grab a cup and do this.
-Get a measuring cup
-Fill one third of it with water
-Then grab some lemons and squirt the juice until the cup is full
-Dip your strands that need to be lighter colored into the cup.
1) Yes,it can make your hair frizzy and dry.
2) At certain temperatures,it can do damage.Try a spray that can prevent hair damage after you straighten/curl your hair.
3) it is not healthy, but it involves much sissoring, jel, spray, and iorns.
4) Switch to a frizz control shampoo and conditioner.Make sure that is can make your hair moist also.
5) It will look really fonky with thick hair.It takes alot of effort not to damage it.The best place for this is a salon.
6) Can you have cool emo looking hair having thick hair?

You're new at this game.
O_O Don't do it. The highlights, I mean.
The lotion...
Never done it, but if you have any chance of oily hair, for all the love of Spaghetti, keep it away from your scalp.
o_O I see no problem with hair gel or hairspray.
I mean.. don't put in on BEFORE you iron, sure, but I even use gel in the front of my hair for more choppiness in my look and I use hairspray on my hair after curling it for a party.
. . I don't need it to keep my hair straight, though.
I would only use it for more dramatic styling.
I'm also not sure why you should blow dry your hair versus air dry.
Blow drying while running a brush through it would help it be straighter, maybe?
But if I just brush my hair while it dries in the air, it comes out mostly straight and it doesn't need much more help.
. . Remember- blow-drying your hair hurts it, too.
It's like a less evasive or effective iron.
Edit: And I do agree about the before-spray for ironing.
There's a lot of sprays that are supposed to help keep heat-damage to a minimum.

2) Does Ironing it two times or three a week damage your hair?
Irons can quickly and easily ruin your hair, especially since your ends are already bad.
I suggest investing in a hair-straightener instead.
Much safer.
Hair Straight Iron (there's three types of Hair Irons - curl, straight, crimp) and Hair Straightener - generally referring to the same thing.

It look like this?
You're good.
Look for ionic.
Those are nice.
Here's the breakdown.
With straighteners, there's two types of damage.
Heat and mechanical.
Obviously you're gonna get heat - the hotter, the more effective.
However, here's the reason you should get a more upscale straightener...
Mechanical damage.
Cheaper straighteners lose the nice ceramic coating and start hurting your hair WAY faster- you probably won't even know when those layers are gone!
More expensive straighteners have more really nice coating.

Agreed.
1) Does Dying your hair damage your hair?
Actually, it stains your hair with chemicals, and if you do it too much, it becomes unsuitable for making a cancer wig.
So yes.
If you get tired of your dyed hair colour, you should dye it your natural hair colour and let it grow out before you try dying again.
2) Does Ironing it two times or three a week damage your hair?
Yes.
3) If i get an emo look how can i prefent it to get frizzy and wavy?
Don't.
Leave your hair alone.
4) How can i control frizz and dry Hair?
Don't wash your hair so much.
Reason why it gets so dry is because it runs out of oil.
Your hair needs oil to stay healthy, and if you keep shampooing it, you ruin it.
5) Does Razor cutting your hair damage it?
How about in Thick hair?
No.
All it does is make the ends of your hair more likely to fray.
6) Can you have cool emo looking hair having thick hair?
No.
"Emo-looking" hair doesn't look cool.
