TV Forum: iCarly - how would you change icarly?
A lot of people complain that icarly isn't good and has been going downhill so i want to know if you were a writer producer or director of icarly what would you do to make it better?

Probably make the b-plots more funny.
There mostly horrible, and very childish.
The acting can be great in some episodes, but in some its horrible, I understand its a Nick show and Nick isn't known for great acting, but still.
But I can't point out what is making the show go downhill so much, it is much worse than season one, maybe the writer?
He gets praised so much, but I honestly don't think Dan is that amazing of a producer.

I would probably make the show more funny, have Sam and Freddie be a couple, and I would have someone else play Carly instead of Miranda Cosgrove.
And no offense katywishing100 but I hate that picture in your signature you just changed Sam's head to Carly' head D: I don't want to start a fight with you at all I just felt like I should say that.

If they do shippy/dramatic episodes (as opposed to some of their more random plots like anything involving nevel or like iCook), then spend the entire episode on them.
Don't interrupt with a spencer sub-plot that NO-ONE wants like in ittk.
They also don't need iCarly webshow bits every episode.
For example, for iSpeed Date ditching the Spencer Exercising AND the skit for the webshow (they could have started that scene with Carly already taped and locked in the chair).

Uh, you can't just change an actress when there already in season three, and let me guess you only hate her because of creddie?

I agree with the Spencer sub-plot thing.
It's good in some episodes but the sub-plots tend to get annoying.
I also agree with getting rid of some random things in the show.
I know it's a comedy show but it doesn't mean there can't be some serious moments.

Carly needs to refrain from meeting boys and girls that aren't worthy of her, such Fredward Benson, Samantha Puckett, Gary Wolf, Jake Crendle, Griffin, Shane, and similar guys and girls, and look for those who are, such as Dustin Brooks from Zoey 101.

Well I guess if ppl dont really think its funny I would make it funnier but to be honest with you, I think iCarly is perfect and it really doesn't need any changes at all.

I would want each episode to have some memorable moments in them.
I mean, each episode of Drake and Josh was amazingly funny and memorable (Remember when Josh runs over Oprah?
Or when Drake and Josh sell the orangatan to a primate-eater?
Comic GOLD!). Why can't iCarly be?
Why do we get lame episodes like iCook, iMeet Fred, or iCarly Awards?
I would want each episode to have something that would make me laugh my butt off or at least keep my interest.

I agree about Spencer's subplots.
Most of the time it seems as though the writers just write him in because they feel like he needs to be on the episode.
I mean Jerry Trainor is so talented and hilarious, he has so much potential, I beg the writers give him a really good and funny plot, please .
Personally, my favorite character is Sam, and I think she completely makes the show funny and entertaining so I would also have more plots revolving directly around her.

I'd like to see spencer tied in more with the main plot instead of having two separate plots in the same episode.
