	Think Pink - Going Strong thru October -p1 - Community Forums - Recipezaar October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month and we thought it was a GREAT time to honor it by holding a THINK PINK TAG GAME for the month of October. We are not only celebrating the lives of those touched by Breast Cancer but those whose lives have been affected by ANY cancer! Sharing our stories and our tributes is a way to keep the memories alive and also helps us heal on during our current journeys. We are honored to host this event and can't think of a more worthy cause to bring as a focus to the Zaar community. Many of us are survivors or have family and friends who have dealt with cancer in any form. We believe that awareness is one of the keys to a cure and early detection can be the answer to a cure. Won't you join us in honor of this event? Game starts October 1st All tags must be completed and reported here by October 31st It is easy to play!!! Select any recipe on Zaar that has a pink ingredient listed or lists pink in the title name of the recipe. You may choose any food or beverage recipe. 	Good morning, I will be here. Cancer of any kind is nasty stuff. Lost some one last year and my uncle is dying of it right now.


	Hi Deb !! You are so right in that all cancers are so devasting. I'm sorry to hear of your friend and your uncle. Glad you'll come by and participate. Feel free to post recipes of your own that would qualify for the "pink" event - I'd love to add them to the cookbook!

	I'd like to play please. Please mention my friend Liana, a breast cancer survivor for 23 years, earlier this year they found another lump and she underwent a mastectomy in August. So far she is having chemotherapy and is doing well. My aunt Sheila, a double mastectomy in June last year, so far, so good. My niece Bronwyn, a double mastectomy Easter this year, also clear at this point. My mum, a breast cancer survivor for 15 years now. My German Shepherd, Shuna (my icon), dearly beloved and lost to cancer two years ago. I'll be making recipes for them all.

	Hi Hokies & Coffee Thank you both so much, for hosting this event again this year...you are both very special ladies. I would love to be included in your game...and will play for two people. My mom is a cancer survivor... Yeah mom....she has had three types of cancer, but not breast cancer...and is still in remission...20 years later. I have a friend that is currently going thru mega testing...they keep finding something in her breasts...they are just not sure what it is... It is a very frightening time.... So I will be playing for mom & Heather.
