A part of me - Health and Wellness - City-Data Forum
Hello everyone. I'm a fat and unhealthy woman.
This situation motivated me to be conscious about health since I already have some minor diseases that gave me a warning that I have to take care of myself now.
This brought me to join in this group.
Hope to know more of you soon.

Glad to meet you!
Congratulations on putting your feet on your new road to wellness...do you also have a 'real-life' support system in place such as a person trained in nutrition and exercise??
I've found that personal support is vital, too, as well as my on-line support system.

Hi LittleDolphin .
Thanks for that warm welcome.
:-) No. I don't have any support system in my area.
I just love reading and sometimes while I'm surfing the net, I can read about diseases that was caused by poor nutrition and lifestyle.
Those diseases are fatal and while reading it, I can't help to feel fear since I already have some minor ailments which is not that fatal but it could be if I will just ignore it and not be conscious about my health.

Hi... I kind of had an epiphany myself on this kind of stuff when I started having some sort of panic attacks earlier this year.
I guess the first thing you should do, if you haven't done so already is to get doctor approval and start exercising...
I know that is hard to do, but it is a step in the right direction.
I might also suggest, not to overdo it on the google and symptoms, I about drove myself crazy with that.
I would google various things I was feeling and then all of a sudden I would start feeling worse and I would be convinced I had some disease.

Call me curious, and feel free to not answer, but I was wondering what changes you've made in your life to light your new wellness path?
We all learn from one another.
Is there anything we, your C-D community, can do to help/support you in these changes?

Hello lady, Another C-D friend of mine is on a weight loss goal herself.
She currently has a journal on here to chronicle her path to progress.
You can do the same especially once you've made friends with the C-D posters on here.
I'll volunteer to subscribe to your journal (or thread) and be one of your support system.
Either way, good luck and if you do make a journal, let me know k?

DixieChick1972, what I did was i surfed the net on some e-books that could help me about losing my weight.
That's my main goal for now and a friend recommended me the "Flab and Fat Away" e-book by Dr.
Rose Windale. I downloaded it from Flab and Fat Away - Secrets to EASY Weight Loss by Dr.
Rose Windale . Right now, I still have to read that one.
:-)
LittleDolphin, the very first step that I did was going natural.
I eat fruits and vegetables and doing the carb rotation diet and interval training.
Right now, I still can't say the changes because I'm just starting to follow the steps that I am reading from the from the "Flab and Fat Away".
:-)

Great! Sounds like a good plan.
I followed your link.
The video about interval training was interesting..I'd wondered about that--I'm going to try it, now that I know how--so thanks!
It will make my treadmill and bike stints more interesting..and burn more fat, too!
A win-win...
Hope you'll keep us posted on how you're doing.
