Acai Berry - any experiences? (supplements, weight loss, pills, exercise) - Diet and Weight Loss - City-Data Forum

I was recently introduced to the Acai Berry diet haven't tried it yet but is there anybody out there that has experience with it?

I checked out the reviews on line but in the small print it states that they are paid models, I find that this forum is the best for information.

It's a fad diet just like ever other diet. Now they have Acai Berry Green tea. I want an Acai Berry Cheeseburger.

I'll take an Acai Berry Cheeseburger with Hoodia Fries, please. The Acai Berry thing is just another fad diet trick meant to squeeze money out of you.

You'd probably get better results taking caffeine pills with 20 oz of water vice anything Acai...

Or rather any of these supplements for weight loss. There are plenty of food and exercise tips on this board that you should definitely try before putting out the money for these fad diet stuffs.

Some guys in my fitness class have taken Pure Acai Berry and it seems to be working.

I'm a personal trainer and can tell you that without a doubt no juice or berry extract--even acai--is going to burn off fat and cause you to lose weight.

The only healthy, long-lasting remedy is simple: eat less and exercise more.

A lot of Americans don't want to hear this, because it takes work and self-control, but it is what it is. Acai is a powerful anti-oxidant, grown in the rainforests of Brazil.

In the past couple years, Mona Vie, a fruit juice made from the acai, has been wildly popular and has really put the acai on the map, so to speak.

Mona Vie claims to do just about everything good for you possible.

I've heard people testify that it's cured their cancer, diabetes, arthritis..heck, everything from IBS to insominia to muscle soreness and fatigue.

It's pretty pricey, thoough, at around $40 for a 25 oz.

Bottle. I tried it a few times and all I can say its it MAYBE gave me a bit of a boost, or an overall feeling of well-being, but not enough to justify the price.

I did get some pretty good lucid dreams from it, though!

LOL. Bottom line: Acai might be a good supplement--like any fruit-veggie diet--to your exercise routine, but it's not a magic bullet.

According to research, this wonder fruit contains contains a large amount of vitamins and minerals which are an essential for good health.

It also antioxidant which removes toxins from the body and eliminate extra fat.

Its most amazing quality is that it can lower down the level of cholesterol, which means it is lowering down the risk of block in artery, reducing the possibility of heart attacks. Some people who use it as a supplement of loosing weight are told that they highly benefited from these products.

They claim that they lost weight very quickly than other products.

Acai berry also comes in diet pills although they I have not heard of any REAL-LIFE experiences and UNPAID reviews about it.

If you are interested in using or supplementing your diet program with diet pills, I would recommend Prescopodene .

A friend used it about 3 months after giving birth and she was ablee to lose 21 pounds in 5 weeks!

WASHINGTON (CNN) -- Consumers should be skeptical of health and weight-loss claims of the increasingly popular Brazilian fruit, acai, and the free trial offers that ask for their credit card information, a nonprofit health group said Monday. The Center for Science in the Public Interest said companies offering free trials of diet pills made with the acai berries have bilked thousands of consumers using fake celebrity endorsements and blogs to lure customers. Group challenges acai berry weight-loss claims - CNN.com

There are a lot of scams out there, this site has information on them.

I am very skeptical of any of those things.

I lost 30 lbs in the last 9 weeks.

When people ask me how, my answer is, "It's this new thing on the market....it's called diet and exercise!" People laugh but it's true. Good luck and don't give up! Cheers, Shanny
