How Much Work Would You Put Into A Diet? (veggies, supplement, weight loss) - Diet and Weight Loss - City-Data Forum
Like many others I have tried many diets.
In each case I either gave up the diet because it restricted my foods too much or I gained all the weight I lost back as soon as the diet was ended.
I have come across another diet and I am losing weight very gradually and after a few months I know I can stick to this new way of eating.
However, this diet requires baking muffins and make a very simple soup about once a week.
When people comment on my weight loss and I tell them about the diet I am surprised to hear a few say it would be too much work for them.
My question; would you follow a eating plan that required you bake muffins and make a soup once a week?
Both recipes are easy to follow and do not take a lot of time.
Comments appreciated, thanks,
don

Sure i would but that is not how i lost it and stayed thin.
You have to find something you like better than eating.
Looking good wont cut it.

How do you know you can?
For how long can you stick to it?

What else does it require?

I guess it would depend on how good the muffins and soup tasted.
Also, if I had to eat them every day it would get boring quickly.

Well, I would prepare them, without any problem!
But I must confess I don't really understand what you are asking: is it the fact you have to cook something?
Or the fact they are the only things you are supposed to eat?

Simplicity is currently working best for me.
Having done all-veggie, high protein, low fat, atkins, southbeach, and the list goes on.
I am no longer dieting but have just changed my eating habits.
Ultimately the idea of clean eating (organic, whole foods) is to eat what sounds right (IMHO).
Veggies, meats, nuts, grains, fruits, (and a small cheat here and there).
Eat at home 95% of the time and I think my health will increase and weight will decrease.
This could include soups and muffins but why does it have to be so limited.
Can you ultimately sustain this forever...

Diets fail because they are fad's...they work and then when you stop, you gain all the weight again.
Been there done that..especially with the Atkins.
Its about LIFE STYLE CHANGE.
Im sure you have heard this before, but it's so true !
The best advice I can give you is to eat what you want, but SMALL portions spread out through 5-6 meals a day.
Supplement this with some cardio activity which raises your heart rate to your TARGET heart rate 30 mins, 3 times a week and you will lose the fat !
Good luck !

No effort at all.
I'd rather make a healthy lifestyle change, and actually stay healthy in the process of losing weight.
It's the easiest way I know of.
