It's about time. But is this the graphic novel already?
144 pages? 14.99?
Did i miss something or is that an error?

Must be. Comics continuum often make mistakes like that, I assume they just copy and paste alot of their stuff on top of other things

Oh, I'm so excited!
I was unable to buy #1, but it came in the mail today, as I ordered it off ebay, and unfortunately the middle pages of 2-4 are torn off the staples.
Guess there isn't much resale value now, but lordy, this is exciting stuff!
Diamond forms? Suhweet!
Daughters of their mother.
I'm quite excited.

I hope that something good will happen in this issue (or in this LS for that matter).
So far, warsong has been pretty much unimpressive.

Doubt it.
I think it might have been a bad idea to combine the Weapon XIV story with the Phoenix.
For me, it was and still is very very very very confusing.
My personal opinion: No Phoenix story should be without a Grey in it.

Exactly.
although they said that the warsong will tell the fate of jean and the phoenix so i'm still reserving judgment till i read this.
So far, it has been 80% lame

I think it's a parody of that of Endsong #1.

Oh precisely. The story is totally LAME (at least so far) and if things do proceed as most of us here suspect...
It may ruin the appeal of the Cuckoos, The Phoenix Force, and BAGAKKK my dear Emma Frost.
I agree that no Phoenix story should be without a Grey (and that's coming from me) and I think combining the Weapon X storyline with the Phoenix really CHEAPENED both of those storylines immensely.
And both of em I love.
I hope Pak has something really really TREMENDOUSLY good up his sleeves or I'm lining up for a retcon.
I LOVE the cover tho...
Very nicely done and it IS a parody of one of the more popular Endsong covers.

I mean, you can read under "Silvestri" where it says "after Land." Doesn't get much more obvious, kiddies.

Yes, red hair does the trick.
Makes her look even more evil.
Oh, Jean, what are you gonna do?

SPECIFIC SPOILERS AHEAD!!!
e meh.
Could've been worse.
Pak's scene by scene and flow really isn't very good and it's very much apparent in this one too.
So in the end we're back to the status quo instead with convenient little diamond Phoenix cages (a la Psylocke in the late 90s...
Hopefully they don't return as telekinetics as Julian Keller will be PISSED).
This whole story is misplaced and had the most mediocre execution and I think I'm being generous with that.
The drama didn't click at all, the action was cheesy, as was the dialogue that accompanied it.
And I Quote: "Maybe instead...
I'll raise it." And I'm usually quite nice when commenting on the writing of books.
All in all this was a very boring, mostly unentertaining and totally pointless and irrelevant (Jack Oh anyone?
) chapter to both the Weapon Plus and Phoenix "mythoses" or rather mythoi.
As I've said before the whole idea of this LS really cheapened both storylines.
Endsong was definitely a more enjoyable ride even if it also wasn't very relevant and I have less nitpicks last time (when my only beef was that really really cheesily executed "combine all our love power"-Sailormoon-type method of defeating the Phoenix).
While it could have been worse (we did end up back where we began...
Albeit with some really corny twists added to the history of some characters...
Nano clones anyone?) I could have LIVED without this storyline.
Well... on the plus side...
I DO like the prospect that the Cuckoos are now generally cold-hearted logic driven drones, but then again, they already WERE...
Now they're just...
Moreso? At least that ending was executed well....
Cause ESSENTIALLY at least we still have the Cuckoos that we loved before this entire fiasco.
So yeah...
Meh indeed.
