Liza and Tate? A good Concept, or a load of dissapointment. - Serebii.Net Forums

Many of us come to like the concept of double battling, but do you think that the concept should have been mixed with the Psychic Gym Leaders, Liza and Tate. While it's great nintendo tried to make the concept more familiar, but I don't that nessicarily was a good desicion.

Something seemed kinda akward, and I had a team of fighting pokemon that were bit underleveled -actually my second highest was 36 /failed-.

So maybe it's just me when I say that Liza and Tate on nintendo's desiscon was a failed one. what do you think?

I liked double battling.

The batle with liza and tate didn bother me much

I liked it, even though I got off because I lost the first few times.

XD

^My thought's exactly

I love double battling and i think it was a good idea

I loved the whole double battle gym leader idea and I especially liked how the gym leaders were Psychic types.

That way they could "read their minds" which makes sense to how they're in-synch in their battles.

I like them, infact, if your not up to par with Solrock and Lunatone's levels, you'll get your butt handed to you.

I like the double battle, but Liza and Tate were too easy to beat ^^;

Not only did I find the concept good, but the Double Battle with Tate and Liza probably gives me the most trouble out of any of the given Gym Leaders in the Hoenn Region, provided that I did not go on a level-grinding rampage before hand (with the possible exception of Norman). Nowadays, I can eliminate Tate and Liza pretty easily on R/S thanks to my knowledge of their party (parties?), but Emerald's shake-up still gets me, however.

D: The two psychic talking in sych is a classic, and I'm glad that Nintendo chose to showcase their first ever Double-Gym-Battle with the twin terrors of Mossdeep.

I hated the double battle thing already.

So naturally I didn't like the Liz & Tate Gym Battle.

I really liked the Double Battles, and in the gym it was even more better.

Double Battles were a sweet idea, Tate and Liza simply added to it.

They are very difficult in Emerald however.

I like this double battle thing, it was an unique addition in this game.

Double battles, single battles.

They are both fine with me on gym leaders.

Hell, don't know why I accidentally vote for the wrong option.

I should vote for the first option instead of the last one. I think having double battle with gym leader is a good idea.

Tate and Liza are the toughest Hoenn Gym Leaders IMO.

I like the idea of double battle even though it was hard to beat them.

This. I'm surprised the concept of double battle gym leaders didn't return in sinnoh.

It was fun, definitely.

It was a good idea, but my only complaint was that they should've had more pokemon.

Emerald addressed that however.
