Boating Sportsman Forums - King Hill run 0526-27and maybe the 28th!!!
Roller Rider and his better half are meeting us at King Hill this weekend for some fishing and gas wasting and Peg leg taming.
Come on down, we will be camping at the King Hill ramp between excursions!!

I work every day except Saturday night, if i get away for a few hours I might drive down early Saturday morning after work, for a day trip...

I see the flows are low, dipping below 6k in the morning, some days as low as 5500, what would Pegleg be like at that flow?
Lowest I have ran was about 6200...and the beast was mad that day...

Actually, I am going to try to come down one day this weekend if the wife will let me - she is a bit on edge about my boating at the moment .
Would like run hagerman and am willing to drive anyone up it that would like to see it - Shrek - your other boat would be fun down there.
Maybe the girlfriend might not like it though...

If I go it will be sunday the flows are still very low, it is all readable and runnable still except the bridge is very tight between the rocks.
Could run you thru that part a couple times first before taking that new boat thru.
Let me know if you want to.

We just got back from King Hill area on the Snake.
Had a good time, We caught a 5.5-6.
Ft Sturgean and Roller Rider had a 6 ft and his wife caught a 8 ftr by herself!!!
We ran Peg Leg 6 times over the two days and Roller Rider ran it once more in the am of Sat.
I looked at the flow when I got home.
It was 5k. Low and mean.
Jeff said the river was pissed off.
The waves were smaller but the velocity of the water was faster.
It scared them both.
I asked him if he wanted to do it again and he said when the water comes up.!!!
Jeff is fearless and will try most things once which good info.
When he said no to a rematch I was surprised and impressed.
He has a 8.1 and a 4.0 impeller and needed most of it.

5K is the lowest I have heard of somoeone running it so far.
Great job! How was the rest of the river at that flow?

Castle Rock was scary, thr rock just right of the pourover rock was marking.
Tight but runable.
I stopped below it and looked it over and then gave it hell!!
The rest of the river was fine.
