Exactly!
Unfortunately (not to be shmoozy, but we have this thread going), I feel like my DH is starting to be the food police.
Not sure if it's cuz I'm up 5 lbs and frustrated or what.
But it's TOTALLY annoying and I respond in an adolescent way and rebel.
Stupid, I know. I need to re-remind him to keep his thoughts to himself re: food.
After all, I'm generally a healthier eater than he is, but I like to allow myself some planned indulgences (even if small).

Heather, my DH also plays the role of food police and it makes me crazy!!!!
He'll say something to me along the lines of, "do you r aly want to eat that?" and maybe I dont but I dont want to hear it either.
Maybe if he picked up an apple I would be more inclined to.
Instead its me always worrying about the healthy items and him just warning me that I'll be angry with myself afterwards.
I feel your pain!

I guess I'm lucky that my husband never does that, maybe because he's doing WW along with me, so he knows what that feels like.
I think you definitely need to tell him how you feel.
Breakfast was good -- cheesy grits and a banana.
Lunch, not incredibly balanced -- heated up leftover roasted potatoes, having a yogurt for dessert.
Dinner -- going to have to be in the car so I'll make a peanut butter sandwich and take veggies along.
Whatever's left I'll have to have after work tonight.

I do need to talk to DH about this issue.
It's just not okay.
When he got a report of high cholesterol last yr, he went cold turkey on a lot of things, most notably cheese.
So I think that's what he thinks I need to do, but that's not my style.
He doesn't eat cheese anymore, and even makes his own cheeseless pizza.
But he eats half a pizza, which is like 12p just for the crust!
Add to that the ton of olive oil ("healthy oil" , yes, but in moderation!) he pours over the top.
Oy. Anyway, we see the world differently with food.
And I need to say something so I don't sabotage myself.

Heather,
You need to discuss this with him is right!
I had this issue with my DH too.
Last week he asked me, "why are you eating that pc of bread?
Aren't you on a diet?" I explained patiently that everything I eat is accounted for and that I factored the bread in to my daily total.
I think he got it.
He wanted to treat me this weekend, he picked up those waferrolls that he knows I love (2=1pt) and asked me if I could have them.
If it was going to sabotage my efforts, he would give them back.
I thought that was really sweet of him, and had two of them last night since I missed the dessert (on purpose) at a wedding.
So I think he's finally getting it.
Lucky him, he can eat whatever he wants-I've mentioned before that he's 10 lbs heavier than when we got married (34 yrs ago!) while I'm 50 lbs more.
OK, I had 4 kids, LARGE babies each one, but why did I have to keep on 10 lbs after each one?
And you can't say you have baby weight on you when your youngest is 18, can you?
Anyway, the New Age Health Spa is lovely.
The Catskills are gorgeous this time of year.
We've met some nice people-looking forward to a great day tomorrow-Nia dance class, water classes, yoga, and, of course, very little food.
I'm going to have trouble eating my 25 pts here.
They are making kosher fish double wrapped in foil and baked sweet potatoes for dinner for us, bfst will be hi fiber cereal and milk, and lunch will be salad and fruit.
YIKES!
Bon

Sounds like an interesting compromise on food at the spa.
Hope you brought snacks!
I bet it's beautiful with all the fall leaves.
DH was out at a mtg so we didn't get a chance to talk about food issues.
That's all right for now.
