NFL Forum :: - Entertainment Fantasy Draft (Draft order up!)
Works like a fantasy football draft
you state your type of movie ( humor, horror, romantic comedy, just for you key)
the lead actor and actress, rest of the supporting cast, director, producer, and whatever else goes into making a successful movie..
when you pick your cast, you give a brief run down of your movie, and at the end, we'll have a tourney style voting process, to see what us the people, like best..
i don't know much about the movies, but i lurk here a lot, and realize that i could learn a lot from just following along with some of the bright minds of the entertainment forum..

What do you guys think are a good amount of rounds/ participants we should aim for?
any suggestions on how to make this run more smooth are welcomed, because i really don't have much of an idea

I'm liking the idea of drafting a director, a screenwriter, as well as 4-5 actors or something.
Maybe also a composer, cinematographer as well?

10 rounds, 10 participants, a director, writer, composer, maybe a genre that way everyone has something different, and 5-6 actors?
EDIT: Actually if we are doing tornament style I guess 8 or 16 participants would be the way to go.

I agree, I think we should draft genres so everyone is doing something different as that would add some interesting strategy to it, do you take a genre early to get the one you want and risk passing up some top talent.
I like the idea of:

i like this set up
i'm home for a couple days recovering from surgery, so i was trying to think of something different to do, thus where this idea came from..
It still has some things to iron out, but like i said, i like the above idea..
Anyone else have suggestions?
p.s.
Do i just google screenwriter and composer and director to familiarize myself with who's who, or are their websites out there like FF where i can do some research?

Lol, so if we end up with 16 participants, that's going to be tough for the people ending up with "parody" or "educational" as their genre
I'm not huge on drafting a genre...
That means it's really got to stick to one particular genre, when the best films take elements from different genres and mix them together.
I think drafting something else would work better than genre, personally.

Maybe instead of torny style we could elect a few critics/judges?
And yeah ITWT that would work.
Or just think of some of your favorite movies or scores from movies and see who wrote/scored them.
