An mp3 player that uses AAA or AA batery also with expandable memory. - mp3 player Discussion Forum

I am going for a long trip and I am thinking of buying a mp3 player that runs on AAA or AA rechargable battery which I have already and dont worry about running out of juice, also expandable memory, so that can carry a audio books in several micro Sd or Sd cards instead of worying about space, I can pop in as needed.

Any ideas are welcome. Thanks in advance.

Take a look at the Sansa slotMusic Player, uses a single AAA battery and reads MicroSDHC cards.

The slotMusic player only supports MP3 and WMA format, so it won't work for audiobooks that are in a different format (eg Audible).

Also, I doubt it supports many functions that people like to use with audiobooks, such as bookmarking.

It's meant mostly for playing music albums.

You can't even load playlists on it. A better player might be the Trekstor i.Beat xtension.

It takes an AAA battery, and I've read that it supports audiobooks.

Thank you guys, I think I might go with Trekstor i.Beat xtension, as that plays audiobook though i dont like the looks of it, also the SDcard stiks out, I wish it used a mini or a micro card. I am surprised there are not much choices. thnks Clark ,i would hav never found it as it never showed up in any of my searches.

You're welcome. By the way, there are USB chargers that take AA batteries;

I use one to charge up my Sansa MP3 player.
