Looks liek you just cut out a peice of a picture and added text..?
Also a border would be nice.
Text placement could eb better IMO.

Will take that as a compliment, the render is from render-world and background is from Guild Wars startup screen ^_^ put yellow shades in a Saturation layer over to enhance the colours and blend render
Never been good at text on things, if it was up to me i would just leave all text off

The Blending is good.
But having no border makes it look bad, expecialy since th text pushed up against the edge.

Whether it's cut+paste or not, it's still got a very smooth transition from render to BG, so kudos on that.
Probably not the hardest thing in the world, but the outcome looks nice and clean, even if the text is positioned weird.

Your text could be better, it doesn't blend that much.
It also doesnt look like you have a border either.
Maybe you can just use a simple base color 1 px border.

Naw I really love it ^^ but yah the text could've probably been done better on the avitar..
