King Crimson - In The Court Of The Crimson King Progressive Rock Quote: d: CLASSIC

I really really really need to start listening to King Crimson. I'm a person just like you I've got better things to do... My RYM page.

I've always considered this album a type of mindfuck.

It's an atmosphere builder.

Don't know if I like it but it definitely takes you some where.

Needs more saxophone. But, an amazing album nonetheless.

Would just be even more amazing with more saxophone.

Love it!

Classic! :dio: Now "Red"! She came to me with a serpents kiss As the eye of the sun rose on her lips Moonlight catches silver tears I cry So we lay in a black embrace And the seed is sown in a holy place And I watched and I waited for the dawn

Great album, whether for it's mind boggling technicality or the way it effortlessly washes over you with waves of sonic bliss. Nothing else to say really.

My first and fav King Crimson... "Cats foot iron claw Neuro-surgeons scream for more At paranoias poison door. Twenty first century schizoid man." classic.

Nothing more to say. Just a babe in a black abyss No reason for a place like this The walls are cold and souls cry out in pain An easy way for the blind to go A clever path for the fools who know The secret of the hanged man - the smile on his lips

I like "In the Wake of Poseidon" better.

But this album is a classic as well.

Not really my thing, but definitely a good way to give some variety to the reviewed classics.

I think another Napalm Death review would have probably started some sort of flame war

I guess this is a classic since it's afaik the first prog rock album, but I could live without hearing "I Talk to the Wind" or "Moonchild" ever again, and later incarnations of the band made "21st Century Schizoid Man" even better.

As far as studio albums go, Red and Discipline are way better than this, although when I want to listen to King Crimson I usually end up going for a live album.
