Hiv - HIV Prevention - MedHelp
Dear Doctor,
This happened 7 days ago.We went to a place where girls are having sexual intercourse with the costumer.
I am very depressed for the last 7 days because although i used a candom, it popped at the end.
It was a vaginal sex.
When it popped I heard the sound and take my penis off her vagina
When i ejaculate, my penis was out of her vagina but it was right after that candom failure....
3 days later I am tested for the 2 STD which are chlom./g....
Something.. they were both negative.
After that sexual intercourse I felt a burning on the tip of my penis.
It last about 30 min.
The next day the burning feeling was more like a little pain on the tip.
I felt symptoms like possible fever.
Also I had swollen lymph glands and my hands were always cold and I was feeling colder than my friends.
I had that pain on the tip of penis for like 5 days then i started have an ache right behind my testicles.At that point I started to use antibiotic 1000mg and i didnt feel the pain on my penis the 2nd day.
However I realized something like an insect bite on penis and there was a redness behind it.
I also realized small light redness in my hand.
I also realized cold sores on my lips.
They were very tiny.
I used a cream and it almost cured them.
The next day ( today) i saw another one which is a little bigger cold sore and it bleed.
Again i used a cream to cure it.
Do you think that all these insect bite things on my penis and lips and small reddish skin in my hand is about herpes?
I feel like a dryness pain and like a light burning feeling on my lips.
Do you think antibiotics might have caused these cold sores?
If it is not , does the antibiotic helps hiv antibodies to spread more quickly on your body which causes these cold sores?
I cant eat much for the last 5 days.
Do you think this popping of candom makes it more likely to get hiv ?
What do you think about the risk of getting hiv ?
why do you think i have these cold sore ?

I'll try to help.
The chance you might have caught HIV or other STD depends on two main things: the chance your commercial sex worker (CSW) partner was infected;
And, if she had HIV, the risk of transmission from unprotected vaginal sex.
The chance your partner had HIV varies around the world?
Where did this exposure happen?
Relatively few CSWs have HIV in the US and other industrialized countries, but many CSWs are infected in some deveoping countries, with the highest overall rates in southern Africa.
Within the US, the likelihood of HIV is much higher in black women than in those of other race/ethnicity groups.
But even if your partner had HIV, it is unlikely you were infected.
The chance of HIV transmission through unprotected vaginal sex averages once for every 2,000 exposures.
So even with the broken condom, it is unlikely you caught HIV.
Your symptoms do not suggest you caught any STD.
No STD can cause burning of the tip of the penis the next day;
It always takes at least a few days.
A good possibility for that symptom is physcal or chemical irritation.
If the condom contained spermicide (a sperm-killing chemical), that's probably the cause.
The negative lab tests probably were for chlamydia and gonorrhea, so for sure you did not catch one of those STDs.
None of your other symptoms suggests any STD at all.
From your description, I doubt you have herpes.
What you call "cold sores" doesn't sound like real cold sores (oral herpes) to me.
No STD could cause the bumps around your mouth, redness of the skin of your hands, "possible fever", or swollen lymph nodes.
In conclusion, the chance you caught HIV is very low.
However, because of the broken condom, you should have blood tests for syphilis and HIV in about 6 weeks.
If your symptoms continue, return to a clinic or doctor for further examination and testing.
But I doubt you have any STD.

This situation happened in Jamaica.
I have another question .
I sometimes feel like itchiness right under the penis..
I feel discomfort on penis.
I also feel like I have swollen testicles.
As I said after I used that antibiotic I didnt feel the discomfort in the penis.
The Herpes culture tests were negative for the little sore (like a cut) on my penis and the redness on my hand.
I feel frequent urination and I always feel dehydrated.
I always sneeze 5-6 times in a row.
And I have painful sores in my mouth.
Do you think that I have the genital herpes.
Why would my lips have those tiny sores which bleed for no reason.
right now it is 12 days after the possible exposure..
I also had urinoanalysis test which comes out negative but I got the test when I was using antibiotics..
Do you think that antibiotics caused the test to be negative ?
I cant understand what is wrong with it..
I am worrying every other day..
I would appreciate your help 1 more time ..

No STD, including herpes, causes the symptoms you describe.
Don't try to diagnose or treat yourself.
See a health care provider for further evaluation if your symptoms continue or you remain concerned about it.

Today I realized that the skin of my penis is not like before..
Its flaky and looks like it is easily irritated.
I have 2 very tiny scratch seemed parts which seems to get bigger.
the skin of my penis is like dead skin.
Do you think it would be related with herpes and I said i had a bleeding cold sore on my lips.
How likely am I exposed to genital herpes ?

No, these symptoms also do not suggest herpes.
You are wasting your time and mine by asking me to repeat again and again that you provide no reason to suspect you have HIV or herpes.
It is also a waste of time and energy for you to try to figure out the cause of your skin problems by searching the web or asking questions on line.
The answer will come from seeing a health care provider, no other way.
You came here for reassurance.
I gave it. Accept it or not, I don't care, but I'm not going to argue about.
If you want to return to tell us what a clinic or doctor diagnoses for the skin condition(s), you may do that.
