Anyone here in Geology/Earth Science/Meteorology ?

First year in it now.

Yeah i love it a lot of my friends chirp me about it being nerdy but i find it very intresting.

I think the common misconception is that whenever you say it poeple just think so you're going to study rocks but theres so much more to it, the class i took last semister was a borefest though all about making geologic maps, but i here it will get more intresting from there.

And jobs should be booming in the years to come(well where i live anyway don't know about anywhere else), and you mainly will be able to work outside for the most part another big thing for me. Every time I turn to Discovery Channel (like now) there is always something about Geology.

I can't pick which to do Geology or Meteorology.

You said there are a lot of jobs in your area but with Obama pushing green technology there should be more jobs right?

Like for wind power and solar power. Anyways more importantly how much math is involved cause i suck at it..

ALSO i hear you only work on oil rigs or boats when you first get started..

Is that true??
