Web Hosting Business Site Design - Web Hosting Talk - The largest, most influential web hosting community on the Internet

** OOPS! there's a spelling mistake in the title, but could not edit it...

** Hi.. When I look at other popular web hosting business sites, they look gorgeous.

While my site looks very simple compared to them. The purpose of making my site look very simple is so that the visitors can read each and every feature without straining their eyes. I get loads of visits from authentic sources and I want to increase the conversion rate. Do visitors find gorgeous looking web hosting busines sites more promising than mine? I'm confused, please help and suggest. Thanks and regards,

** I added the missing letter while I was moving the thread. For those who have sigs turned off, your site is IndNet.Net . Lois

Thanks Right..err..WriteSpeak !

I do not think they do.

Maybe newbies and kids find all those flashy thingies cute, but grown people do NOT! People need to be able to get to where they need to be without all these popups and flashy thingies everywhere. My advice keep our site simple, don't worry about how other people have their sites.

Most likely they are not pulling business if every other site u see is running 2.95 hosting deals with a template you swore you saw on 10 other sites earlier in the week. Be creative, original, and talk about it on the front page. Your site looks VERY PROFESSIONAL and I can guarantee you there is no one else running around the internet with that design.

It's very obvious your Photoshop skills are on point. A little word of advice, head on over to dynamicdrive.com and download a script that completely disables right clicking.

Or if ur a programmer, u can write one urself :-) You surely don't want the children stealing images.

If they are going to steal, make sure they hotlink them, then u can find out who they are. JE

Ur website design is simple but elegant and its to the point in expalining ur customers rather than getting something more flashy...

But i suggest u to put one simple flash banner to bring soem lift to the website REgards

From my point of view, of a designer I think your website is too old?

Design looks like it was created in 98...

Customers don't trust that kind of cheap look nowadays...

Everyone likes fancy flashy things well as for me, I love simple but elegant websites, note, this doesn;'t mean it shouldn't include flash animations or fancy graphics but at the end of the day everyone has different tastse and ideas...

Good input Sandrodz, thanks.

I'll look into it.

EssEss: I actually like the nice and simple "theme" of your website.

From first impressions, it also looks professional. I dont think one needs a flashy website to gain a good customer base;

I think any online -based business will agree it is important to have functional and aesthetically pleasing website, but by no means must it be flash or look like a kiddie-host-template.

EssEss First : When i acces domain links FireFox repors me this: "Firefox has detected that the server is redirecting the request for this address in a way that will never complete. * This problem can sometimes be caused by disabling or refusing to accept cookies. " Please check if is a problme on the webiste or on my side. About design.

I think it shold be a little be upgraded.

I noticed that you made it SEO friendly but looks more like a blog (my opinion) Some new graphic will be grear.

Or atleast facelift the header.

Hi danyboy... Thanks for your input. I use FireFox only, and I do not have any problem here.

Yes, we do set cookies in the order processing script for verification purposes. Yes, I'm working on the design upgradation.

Hope that I will show you something shortly. Regards

Other than the font colour (light grey on white), I have no complaint.

Maybe redo the header now and then to give it a new look -- but otherwise (as already mentioned) your site is elegant and easy to navigate. Can't seem to access http://domains.indnet.net/ though.

My traceroute to it is fine. Good luck!

I think you need to re-do your site a little bit (if you want complete re-design, fine it would be better), your site is simple & nice, but it's not too attractive.

People need to see something that makes them not to close the window after they got the information, something which they can easily remember, something which can make "wow" & "aha!" Don't just make your site to offer your products, but make it to make them interesting & attractive. Hope it helps.

Hi guys... As per your commands, I have redesigned the site.

( http://www.IndNet.Net ) Kindly comment. Thanks again and regards...

Index1.html: I don't like the font type you have at the hosting plans.

It is small, squashed together, and just strange in general.

The font colour of the content is still too light (as mentioned earlier).

On top of that you should probably lose the decorative dots on the grey bars. Don't forget to validate your site!

Your encoding is broken. Good luck.

Your site is OK, it's not original (as most sites nowadays aren't.) But it's simple yet it follows most other web hosting designs out there, especially with those server images and the plans at the top there. It's good, no errors.

So if I had to rate it: 7/10
