isoHunt Forums :: View topic - How to find my registration key for Adobe CS3 Creative Suite
I have a client that I took over about 6 months ago and on the workstation that is provided for me, it has the Adobe CS3 Creative Master Suite.
This machine has developed some problems and I would like to rebuild it but I cannot locate the media or the reg.
Key for the Adobe suite installed on it - and so this keeps me from reinstalling windows on my machine because I don't want to lose access to this almost $2000 application suite!
Adobe won't tell me how to find it, they want information from me about how and to whom it was registered, but unfortunately we have tried all the names from this company we can think of at this time, so I turn to the community here for assistance - I have found using MOST key finder applications doesn't produce the key I need - it only finds a couple keys (to adobe acrobat and some other application (but both serial numbers were the same))
So I downloaded a version of CS3 from a seed here and tried using the serial number and it says that the activation fails and i must either reinstall, contact my systems administrator or contact Adobe (which as i mentioned before, I have already tried with no help) Yahoo Messenger thetazzzz

Start - run- type in regedit (thats the xp way) hit ok, press contol f and type in adobe cs3 and hit find next.
A whole list of shit will pop up in the left colum you need to click on them and keep an eye on the right panel until Adobe CS3 Creative Master Suite shows up and if the serial is logged in your registery thats where it should be.
OR instead of typing in adobe cs3 try typing in Adobe CS3 Creative Master Suite, its trial and error, but like I say if your pc has logged it thats where it has.

I "kinda" tried this previously with no luck - I'll give it a try again tomorrow and see if I come up with anything - thanks for the input.

BEFORE you do trollster's thing please try this - start up photoshop, go to Help -->
System Info, look for "Serial number" - for me this was the 13th line down.

I tried what trollster said and what bryce-e-boy said, however, the key that I found in photoshop is missing 4 numbers - the key has a 24 number serial key and the photoshop key only has 20 numbers.
so i searched the registry for those 20 numbers (no dashes) and it comes back empty.
I thank you guys for your help and realize I'm not asking for a key gen, I'm just looking for a way to retrieve my install key that is on MY MACHINE.
any other ideas guys?

They don't give you the 24 digit key for a reason...
Otherwise all the kiddies at school could just snag their school comps CS3 serial and use it at home.
Just give Adobe a call and they'll create a hot activation key for you.
I've done this three times for three different machines (after I use my product key too much and get a new comp).
Simply choose to "activate by phone" and have your comp info ready (including the Photoshop 20 digit key you have) and give them a call.
It'll suck up a good 20 minutes of your day talking to someone in India but they really don't care how you got there anways, just tell them how it is and they'll give you a key.
