Hungarian Hot Wax Peppers - IDigMyGarden Forums
I have a friend who has an absolutely killer recipe for pepper butter that requires Hungarian Hot Wax peppers.
I found them listed in Johnny's, but not BC or SSE.
Have a few questions:
Is this a hybrid or OP?
Are they the same as Banana peppers?
I never thought banana peppers were hot.
Maybe there is a hot banana and a sweet banana?
Help ...

Sandy, Here's a decent little description of Hungarian Yellow Wax (or Hot Wax).
Still doesn't mention whether or not it is a Hybrid variety though.

Fedco has Hungarian Hot Wax listed as an OP hot pepper.
Am going to have to get some ...
My mouth does the Pavlov's dog thing just thinking about that pepper butter ...

I'm sure he wouldn't mind.
This year, I didn't get any pepper started and had to buy peppers for him.
We have a good relationship ...
I supply him with a bushel, or two, of peppers, and get about 10 jars of pepper butter and relish.
Oh, my, there go the taste buds again ...
Lol ... will have to get his relish recipe, too ...
It has hot dogs in it.
