View topic - Logitech MX 600 Cordless mouse!!! – 68k Macintosh Liberation Army Forums
I just got a Logitech MX 600 Cordless mouse for my (pre) birthday!!!
It's REALLY nice.
I can assign certain buttons to do certain things.
Stuff like volume and spaces can be configures (back and forth button can be used to switch between virtual desktops) and set it to do certain macro commands
Thanks mom!!!!

But logitech mice are pricy.
I would not spend 60$ on a mouse.
Witness the return of me.
Macbook Late 07,PowerMac G4 Quicksilver x2,
PowerMac 7100AVx2,Quadra 800,Classic II,B&W G3
And many more to come.

The logitech mouse I got a few years ago was just like $15, it's not the best mouse ever, but it's lasted a really long time, especially since it was a cheap "notebook" mouse.

The part I love is that it lets your hand be in a natural position.
You know, where it's like at a slightly angled position?
It's nice, it has an indentation where your though is, and it slopes up for your side of the pinky and stuff.
I can't believe how good it feels.
On top of that, it has super-smooth skids so it glides like it's on air.
I love this thing.
My mom got the same model for her iMac.
We were looking at the mice at target to replace her mighty mouse which was having problems.
But when we saw this, i was talking to her about the types of mice.
I laid my hands on this one and it was love at first touch.
Got it home, and I haven't stopped using it Coius - Computer Repair Technician.

Very nice! I've just picked up a MX Revolution myself, and it's most excellent!
Far, far, better than the Mighty Mouse anyway!
One word of warning, the Logitech software for OS X is based one the evil, evil, APE.
So do not, under any circumstances, try installing it under Leopard.
It completely borked my computer to the extent of having to reinstall the OS!
Of course, no where on the packaging does it say that it also installs APE
However, USB Overdrive is the saviour as always and lets me configure the buttons to my hearts content

Works fine for me.
I downloaded it off of Logitech's site and it installed without a problem on both mine, and my mom's iMac.
It doesn't install APE either.
I just didn't use the CD.
It detected the mouse fine, and even pops up a small logo when you plug, and unplug the mouse.
Other than that, it's a dream mouse
I have been using it all day yesterday, and will all day today.
I thought the mighty-mouse was nice, or even my GE Generic mouse (General Electric) that I picked up for $9 out at target.
I can't believe how much of a difference a mouse makes when it comes to computer use.
Anyways, thanks for the " 'grats".
I would recommend this mouse to ANYONE.

The Black and Silver is the new one .
The all black one is the previous mouse we had.
It is "OK" but it's a notebook mouse, which means it is *almost* too small to use.
It is also a wireless mouse.
Don't get me wrong, i like both of them, but desktop mice are MUCH Better, and I don't see why people are interested in the pocket mouse.
What I *WOULD* like to see, is one the site of a credit card.
That would be downright cool.
I wouldn't mind that, with Chiclet buttons.
You could just pick it up and put it right in your pocket.
But I doubt people will make one of those
I can dream
And ~tl.
They no longer use APE.
It is redesigned, so it's safe to install it.
It says so in the briefing when you go to install it.
I like the mice and recommend getting logitech.
I have had nothing but good luck with them.
My webcam is even Logitech.
I got sick of the crappy Cameras put out by third parties, that I went and spent $80+ S/H for a decent webcam and haven't regretted it.
The webcam is like 2MP Camera.
(does a LOT better job than Integrated iSights from apple.
Heck, it does a better job than ANY iSight from Apple Coius - Computer Repair Technician.

Ah, that's good to know!
I'm more than happy with USB Overdrive though as it lets me configure all the buttons and I'm supporting an indie Mac developer by using it.
The only thing it doesn't let me do is turn on/off the ratchet on the clickwheel on a per application basis...
But... meh...

Thats good to hear....I'm not a user of this mouse myself, but I had APE seriously fork over my Leopard install about 2 days after I got my MacBook.
