Wide Angle/Prime Lens
Hello again!
So, I have my new Nikon D300 arriving tomorrow and in the spirit of having a new body, I've decided I would like a new lens or two. I only have around £400 max, but I would quite like a wide angle (for landscapes/cityscapes...

If its wide you are after then IMO the Tokina 11-16 f2.8 will not be bettered and for £400 you should pick....
For prime i would suggest 35mm f1.8 AFS
Wide Angle their is not much choice since the sigma is decent price.

since my lens lineup for my newly acquired 5d2 only consits of my sigma 50, i have been looking for a proper wide angle prime.
focal length wise 21mm is what i am looking for.
i have looked at the zeiss 21 which is obviously a great choice ...

Of the camera on a 5DII, and it's sharp wide open in the central frame, but the extreme corners were and the ZF25/2.8 and since getting the 25 I use the 21 less often - on full frame its very wide that wide angle lenses probably ....

I am selling Sony kit because I want a MP-E 65mm Macro lens which is unique to Canon, so I will need to make the switch! All lens, adaptors, flash are Sony fit.

Sharp wide prime ????
I have a 550D and Tamron 17-50mm f2.8 non VC plus a canon 60mm f2.8 for macro and as a kinda alternative for the 50mm.
I'm lookinf for a fast prime to keep weight down and use and a walk about prime. Contenders are the Siggy 24mm...

Fantastic lens The siggy 30mm sounds good!! Another vote for the sigma 30mm 1.4, I've got one and love it, very sharp, good field of view, great in low light.
From your list above I would recommend the Sigma 30mm f1.4.
Sharp too.

I'll start by saying that I love my Sigma 30mm f1.4. I've read stories about focusing errors when pairing this lens with the T2i, but I haven't found this to be true in my case. I use this lens 90% of the time, with the other 10% reserved for my Canon...
