I am looking for a wide lens for my K200. Tempted by Sigma 10-20 in either F3.5 or F 4.5-5.6, but both have some significant problems. A 10 or 12 mm prime (not fish eye) would be good - but alas I don't find any. Pentax should do this.
The Q is should...

Hi, I could do with some advice. I'm looking to upgrade from my Canon 100-400mm lens and wondered what the opinion was on the Sigma 300mm Prime lens and whether anyone on here had any experience of it. Ideally I would have liked the Canon 300mm but that...

At 600mm you will not have the quality of a bare Sigma prime and sometimes not the quality from IQ there....
I've used mine with the Sigma 2x which gives f5.6 wide open, results are better stopped down to f8 300 prime.

Hello everybody!
I'm looking for a wide prime for my D700.
My "dream" setup for travel etc. would be 24/1.4G + 50/1.4G + 105/2.8 macro. The primes I have at the moment are 35/2, 50/1.4G, 55/2.8 ai-s, 85/1.8D and 100/2.8E (I'm looking to trade this to ...

Wide Angle/Prime/Macro???? Where I live, the stores that carry camera equipment generally carry the 50mm and 55-200mm lenses... I own both of these standard lenses. Anything else needs to be ordered. I am looking to upgrade to a pro canon lens, possibly...

Lens to upgrade to a better one....
Here you go..
Shooting - if you're planning to shoot landscapes then wide angle (i.e: Canon 10-22 or Sigma 10-20 Canon 18-200 (Wide & Zoom) or bit expensive Canon/Sigma 70-200 2.8.

My widest lens right now is a 50mm. I'd like to have something wider, like in the 20s.
It will go on a 1ds.
I prefer a manual lens....
Looking for something affordable, under 200...
Thanks in advance...

I am selling my wide angle lens. For Canon users, it's fairly much the only option outside of the Canon L lens (10-22 mm) if you want ultra-wide on your C-size sensor dSLR. Fortunately, it's a very good option. It has a USM (ultrasonic motor), which gives...

I've got the 17-40 f4 L, which goes very nearly as wide on the FF as the 10-20mm does on the C-sensor...
However, for wide angle shots, there's only one winner, and it's not the 7D.
The 7D.

Wide Angle Or Ultra Wide for Grand Canyon? I am just getting into photography as a hobby and purchased the Canon 60D with 18-135mm lens. I will be going to the Grand Canyon and would like a 2nd lens. I'm assuming a wide angle is the way to go, and also...

A look at the tokina 12-24 F4! Sigma also have the 8-16mm ultra wide angle lens - gets some very goodI wouldn't recommend jumping to an ultra-wide right off the bat.
