Wide Angle/Prime Lens Hello again! So, I have my new Nikon D300 arriving tomorrow and in the spirit of having a new body, I've decided I would like a new lens or two. I only have around £400 max, but I would quite like a wide angle (for landscapes/cityscapes...

Hi Megan If its wide you are after then IMO the Tokina 11-16 f2.8 will not be bettered and for £400 you should pick....
For prime i would suggest 35mm f1.8 AFS Wide Angle their is not much choice since the sigma is decent price.
Hey there, since my lens lineup for my newly acquired 5d2 only consits of my sigma 50, i have been looking for a proper wide angle prime. focal length wise 21mm is what i am looking for. i have looked at the zeiss 21 which is obviously a great choice ...

Of the camera on a 5DII, and it's sharp wide open in the central frame, but the extreme corners were and the ZF25/2.8 and since getting the 25 I use the 21 less often - on full frame its very wide that wide angle lenses probably ....

Fantastic lens The siggy 30mm sounds good!! Another vote for the sigma 30mm 1.4, I've got one and love it, very sharp, good field of view, great in low light.
From your list above I would recommend the Sigma 30mm f1.4.
Sharp too.
Wide prime? After some time in a friends studio (see here http://www.photography-forum.org/sho....php/72493-Jim ) i found that 35mm is a little tight for body shots (35mm AF-S 1.8 DX). from this i have been doing some reading about the 28mm 2.8 and the...

There is also an 18mm FF prime, but that's as rare as hens teeth TBC - Lenses - see camera details For studio work....
The 24 is a nice little one, not really that much distortion of a DX sensor, and a very nice wide angle if you go full frame.
Canon's new 24-70mm F2.8 II and stabilized wide-angle primes Canon has released three EF lenses, including an updated 24-70mm F2.8 II USM. The latest version features what is promised to be a more durable body, despite being a little smaller. In addition...

With my sigma for now, if there are any deficiencies with it then I haven't been able to find them.

Wide Angle Or Ultra Wide for Grand Canyon? I am just getting into photography as a hobby and purchased the Canon 60D with 18-135mm lens. I will be going to the Grand Canyon and would like a 2nd lens. I'm assuming a wide angle is the way to go, and also...

They're generally pricier anyway: Nikon D60 & gripped D7000: Nikkor 10.5 fisheye, 10-24, 18-105, 70-300: Tokina 500: Sigma 600: Celestron AP1500: 40' WonderPole Your general....
I wouldn't recommend jumping to an ultra-wide right off the bat.

I'll start by saying that I love my Sigma 30mm f1.4. I've read stories about focusing errors when pairing this lens with the T2i, but I haven't found this to be true in my case. I use this lens 90% of the time, with the other 10% reserved for my Canon...

I'm a fan of fast....
I know it's not quite as wide as my 10-22mm, but I'm okay with that especiallyI recently purchased the Sigma 17-50mm f2.8 and have only been playing with it around the house a EOS Rebel T3i.
The Sigma 17-50mm f2.8.
