I am developing a social web application with RoR. I realized that it's probably a good idea to prevent users from inserting rude or profane language into comments or posts.
Do you know any solution or plug-in that help me prevent something like this?...

$badwords = explode....
First off, file_get_contents is a much simpler function to read a file into a variable .
Namely you're creating a feedback loop.
Because the output of the filter contains lower case vowels, which are also the characters you're filtering .

A while back i discovered in a private group that you can bypass the profanity filter by surrounding said profanity with a certain type of bracket, now if we're not allowed to use profanity then why do we have the option to bypass it?

I have to consciously keep casual profanity out my daily speech when I'm.

Getting cussed out is sometimes part....
You husband is a grown man.
You don't want to be "that" spouse.
Do NOT get involved in office politics...it can only end badly .
Support your husband and be there for him if he wants to talk, but stay out of it .
