Maybe Stevens has loaners you can try if you buy the new prop from them? I don't know what bigger a tach there is no way to know where you are with any prop, it's far too difficult to tell by ear have an answer for your prop problem....

I have some GWS direct drive props with the prop nut impressions. They are made to slip over a nut on the prop shaft. The smaller props are fine as I have the needed 5.5mm nuts (3mm threads).
The larger prop require a 7 mm nut that fits in the prop.
