What is special about Ubuntu distributions that run on a PS3? Is there an 8.10 PS3 version out yet?

The 9.04 it, the packages are compiled to run on the PS3's cell processor and by default include packages & configurations to support the PS3's standard....

As a PS3 user since inception I am kond of used to playing second fiddle. Last years AAA titles were collectivelly speaking a disaster in terms of multiplatform games.
Skyrim on PS3, no comment. BF3 on PS3, no comment. F12011 on PS3 no comment.

I read somewhere that codeing games for the cell processors the ps3 uses is way harder than other for, because most multiplat games have been rubbish on ps3.

Hello, I have a computer and ps3 connecting wirelessly to my router but it seems no matter how hard I try I can not get my pc to show up on my ps3.
I've also tried setting up a media server with TVersity but my ps3 just won't find it. Any suggestions?...

Finally press Apply.
Click on it and the press Allow.
This is your PS3.
Once noticed an Unknown Device show up in the white box .
Then right at the bottom go into Network Settings.
On the PS3, navigate the XMB to Settings.

So I have a PS3. I have managed to configure this PS3 to be able to see all my media, but I've always felt like I'm missing something on the whole thing. I've also tried out programs that supposedly make this whole thing easier, but I've never been pleased...

If you have a NAS, TwonkyMedia is/was excellent at streaming photos and videos to your PS3 and other devices.
