The "repeatable" part is what is lacking in pure psychology.
Science is communication about testable models of repeatable experience.
The problem with psychology is that it is a semi-science.

From my (limited) experience with counselling, no. But there are other possible applications of psychology that seem to have no real benefit either. Used in marketing it's hit and miss, PR involves some kind of psychology, but at a very basic level. HR...

I think psychology is useful but like stated before you have to be open if they are not qualified then I wouldn't expect there to be much of a success rate.

Learn as much as you want about the markets, economic fundamentals, technical analysis, etc. Become a finely tuned machine for picking the exact turning point of a trend 9 times out of 10, but if you hold losers too long and cut winners too quickly then...
