I just of the Q8400, the 8400 and the 8400S.
With that, the Q8400 where not on the support list of the motherboard, I still tried and it worked fine.

Hey guys,
I'm currently running a ASUS p5q Pro with q8400 (Stock 2.66ghz) currently @ 3.38Ghz.
FSB is about 423 or so and I believe the only thing holding me back from pushing the FSB to 500 is my memory.
Currently Im just using cheapy kingston DD2 80...

Hey ya,
The older Q series are still very good for gaming, I would however point out that the Q6600 is a great overclocker and compatible with most 775 motherboards .
