I've heard a lot of times about the VIP quota in the railway reservation system. Can anybody explain who enjoys this kind of quota? How many berths are generally reserved for VIP's in 2nd AC?

You'll almost certainly need a Waitlisted ticket for that train....
Dad is into politics so i can use that quota to get confirmed tickets for my people as their travel the reservation supervisor at the train's originating station.

My guess counter for ticket....
For any type of concession (except senior citizen)you have to book ticket through rail reservation citizen on the net, but need proof (when we travel) that we are entitled to those tickets.
